The Federal Republic of Navacharitra is a very large, efficient nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, free-roaming dinosaurs, and ubiquitous missile silos. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 187 million Navacharitrans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Industry. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10.1%.

The all-consuming Navacharitran economy, worth 18.4 trillion NavyaMudras a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 98,177 NavyaMudras, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 331,719 per year while the poor average 21,491, a ratio of 15.4 to 1.

Cleaners are very careful not to bump into the big red button on Leader's desk, the people elect the Supreme Court justices directly, would-be emigrants are told "abandon all hope all ye who would exit here", and former bakers no longer have to get their baps out. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Navacharitra's national animal is the Vidyujiva, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Navacharitra is ranked 97,480th in the world and 1,986th in The North Pacific for Largest Gambling Industry, scoring 1,927.87 on the Kelly Criterion Productivity Index.
