The Deyi Sultanate of Jazur is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Sultan Llamu ibn Rama Al Deyi with an iron fist, and remarkable for its strictly enforced bedtime, compulsory military service, and lack of airports. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 4.143 billion Jazuris are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized morass — juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Asumelí. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 92.3%.

The all-consuming Jazuri economy, worth 401 trillion rupees a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, highly specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, Basket Weaving, and Cheese Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 96,862 rupees, with the richest citizens earning 5.6 times as much as the poorest.

It is believed that belligerence is a passing phase foreign leaders will soon outgrow, army doctors who come under attack defend themselves by using stethoscopes like nunchaku, parties that are too noisy are broken up to prevent disturbing wildlife, and many Jazuris are their brothers' keepers. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jazur's national animal is the camel, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Islam.

Jazur is ranked 7,360th in the world and 59th in Refugia for Most Beautiful Environments, with 1,899.31 pounds of wildlife per square mile.
