What is this?
The North Pacific WA Development Program (WADP) is a campaign to increase awareness among nations in The North Pacific of the benefits of World Assembly (WA) membership, maintaining high endorsement counts, and voting on WA resolutions. We hope that this campaign will result in a significant increase in the number of WA members, the number of endorsements exchanged, and the number of WA votes cast within The North Pacific. If these objectives are achieved, The North Pacific will become a much more influential and secure region.
Who is running this campaign?
This campaign is organized and coordinated jointly by the Delegate and the Security Council of The North Pacific. The regional security aspects are managed by the Security Council of the North Pacific and the voting aspects are managed by the World Assembly Delegate.
I am interested in helping. What can I do?
First of all, you should make sure to do what is mentioned in the TL;DR box above: first join the World Assembly if you are not already a member, continue to become a Keeper of the North, then continue exchanging endorsements, and finally make sure to vote on World Assembly resolutions.
If you want to go above and beyond, you can help promote this campaign in the following ways:
~ Send telegrams to nations in The North Pacific pointing them to this dispatch, or directly encouraging them to join the World Assembly, become Keepers, and exchange endorsements.
~ Advertise the campaign in materials you publish by using the campaign logo (shown below with code) and linking to this dispatch.

How can I keep track of how well we are doing?
Take a look at the reports tab above, which includes many statistics informative of the progress of the campaign.
What do I gain from all this?
First, as mentioned above, by participating in this campaign, you help make our region safer and more influential. This is good for all nations in The North Pacific, including you!
Second, if you do decide to join the World Assembly member, become a Keeper of the North, actively exchange endorsements, and consistently vote on World Assembly resolutions, your nation and your game experience overall will improve in several important ways, described in detail in the three previous links.
Third, if you show that you are actively exchanging endorsements, we will promote your nation so that you can gain endorsements even faster!
Fourth, we will be handing out a generous amount of participation awards and achievements. That's right, there will be a lot of bling you can use to show off. We will also be maintaining special regional censuses, to highlight the most active and consistent endorsers in the region. You can find out more by looking at the benefits tab above.
Last but not least, every day we give away free legendary cards through the card lottery. By participating in this campaign, you can expand your collection to include some of the most valuable cards in the game.
I have some thoughts on improving the WADP, whom do I contact?
Thanks! We greatly appreciate all constructive feedback. Please contact Vice Delegate Chipoli with any comments or questions you may have. The Security Council runs regular surveys regarding the WADP and other areas. No survey is currently open. This page will be updated with ongoing surveys.

Hello and welcome to The North Pacific!
This will come in handy:
Whether you are new or experienced, this handbook will provide you with answers to all of your questions. If you have other unanswered questions, feel free to ask Delegate Simone Republic, Minister of Home Affairs The Democratic Kingdom Of Skaraborg, or any of the Gameside Advocates and Mentors. They will be glad to help! Additionally, we are always looking for ways to improve this handbook, so let us know if you think something should be added or changed.
This section covers the very first items you should check off as a newcomer to the game and TNP.
Why you should be in TNP: explaining the pros of staying in our large region.
Endorse the Delegate, Vice Delegate and the Security Council: Endorsing the Delegate, Vice Delegate and all members of the Security Council is important for safeguarding our region against external threats and ensuring the continuation of our constitutional government.
Join the regional forum: The forum is where most government and roleplay activities take place. Registering an account is very easy.
Join our Discord: Our Discord server is where our members hang out and chat about the game and real life subjects.
Apply for citizenship: Citizenship is your ticket to TNP. As a citizen, you can vote to elect our Delegate and other government officials, hold them accountable, and even run for these positions yourself.
Now that you have cleared the basics, you must be looking for things to do. Below are some of the opportunities TNP offers.
Join the Executive Staff: The equivalent of TNP's Civil Service, the Executive Staff is a group of residents and citizens that are employed to assist one or more of the Ministries of the Executive Government. It is ideal both for new residents who want to gain experience in how the government operates, and for experienced citizens who are looking to contribute to the region through the Executive.
Enlist in the North Pacific Army: The North Pacific Army (NPA) is our regional military force. The NPA defends the region, our allies, and serves abroad helping our friends and fighting our enemies.
Enlist in the Militia: The North Pacific Army Militia is for people who wish to contribute to the North Pacific Army but for whatever reason, likely because they cannot/do not want to have a forum or Discord account, cannot be members of the regular Army in the Auxiliary or Special Forces branches.
Get involved in the World Assembly: Joining the World Assembly (WA) is one of the best ways to empower your nation, especially in TNP. Thanks to our WA Development Program, as a WA member you can determine international laws, have one of the highest endorsement counts in the entire game, and even win awards!
Get involved in RolePlay: We have not one, but two vibrant RolePlay (RP) universes, Eras and Strangereal. Each comes with its own map, chronology, and physics laws. If you commit to being active in RP, you can claim a spot in either universe's map, and join others in weaving stories about your nation and its role in the world.
Get involved in trading cards: Our regional cards guild provides many resources you can take advantage of to increase the value of your deck, including several offerings of free cards. As a member of the guild, you can also participate in many other cards-related activities, including themed collections, pull events, and regular publications.
This section contains all the relevant laws, guidelines, and policies of TNP's Government.
Government index: Get to know your government by using this list of all government officials in TNP. If you have questions or suggestions about any aspect of the regional governance, feel free to send a telegram to the corresponding government official.
Law index: This is a compilation of all legal documents currently in force in TNP. This includes our Constitution and Bill of Rights, which form the basis of our government.
RMB Guidelines: Posting on the regional message board (RMB) is a great way to socialize and get to know other TNP nations. Just make sure to follow these guidelines.
Embassy policy: If you are here as a diplomat from another region, please take a look at our policy for in-game and forum embassies.
Recruitment policy: If you are here to recruit for another region, please take a look at our policy on permissible and prohibited types of recruitment.
For WA member-states, here is where you can find out about our WA vote recommendations and voting policy.
Information for WA Voters: Produced by the Ministry of WA Affairs, IFVs provide vote recommendations and analysis about all resolutions that reach the floor of the General Assembly or Security Council.
World Assembly voting policy: Look here to learn how TNP's Delegate casts the regional vote on World Assembly resolutions, and how you can help determine that vote.
Regional News and Publications
TNP publishes a number of regional publications, where news and reports are delivered to the public. You can follow them to stay up to speed with what's going on in TNP.
The Northern Lights: Produced by the Ministry of Communications, this is our regional newspaper. It includes both general news and op-ed articles about various aspects of TNP and NS.
The North Star: Produced by the Ministry of Communications, The North Star informs TNPers of current internal matters and government activities.
The Northern Notes: Produced by the Ministry of Communications, The Northern Notes delivers quick updates on regional happenings.
Northern Broadcasting Service: Produced by the Ministry of Communications, this is our very own regional radio station in which our broadcasters provide their insight into current events in TNP and Nationstates.

2. If you make a post on the RMB asking to be put on the map, or put it in a factbook or dispatch, you will be ignored, please refrain from doing so.
3. Try your best to find out in advance WHERE you would like to claim, not just "can i join the map pls" or a vague "this rough area pls" *points at an entire continent* Get yourself paint.net, make a thing, show where you want it. Or at the very absolute least try to put in words exactly where, it's not that hard.
4. When you know where you want to be, stay there, don't ask carto if you can move. "B-b-but that spot is nicer and-" Should have thought of that in advance.
-
-
Claims must be:
1. Reasonable enough to be put onto the map. No beginner nation will be the size of Friently, or higher, for their claim. If you want more accurate claims and you have Paint.net, beginner claims have a limit of 40k pixels. Your secondary nation will have to be at 20k pixels or less. However a secondary cannot be claimed immediately upon joining the map.
2. Picky is good. Feel free to request changes to borders if you aren't happy with them.
3. This map's planet is the same size as Earth, so we won't be making the map any bigger. If Earth can fit 200 nations, so can this.
4. We are not changing or adding new territory to the map. Use the existing land more efficiently and we won't need any more.
5. Not on any body of water.
-
Map removal will occur when:
1. AFRP, or Away From RP (not RPing for 30 days, 20 days in the case of people on other RMB maps)
2. RMB RP Ban (if one clause states "therefore, the RMB Cartography Staff shall remove <nation> from the map")
3. Cease to Exist (when the nation dies in the 28th day. Exceptions apply.)
4. Moderator Sanctioned
5. RP posts are not up to standard (refrain from making posts that are just one sentence)
Map Version:406: What economic crisis?
Reminder: The alliance map is not handled by the carto team but by independent people who only work on it when they feel like it, this may cause the alliance map to be outdated, do not ask for it to be updated, it will be when a new version is finished.

Overview |
Welcome to the Pegasia, a new world as you may say that houses many ideologies and is home to two resident superpowers; the Imperial Federation(ping AGU and Tonga) and the Republic of Yingguo(Ping Krustevland). With the technology year being 1975, it is currently the cold war period presently being butted between the nations of what Yingguo considers as the "Free World" and the Imperial "Monarchist League" with many inbetweens such as Gayogohono/Overhadamine and Verisaw. In this world, you decide how your nation acts, reacts and conducts itself on the world stage, so long as it follows our rules on the discord. The cold war rages on by the day, and the nuclear clock continues to roll as the few sit ontop of the many with their masses of power and strength. Come join us today, we need you to fight on the good fight - or your own fight, if you may. STANDARDS OF REALISM |

Fingers crossed I can get to Spain this time.
SR RP
"Coinciding with previous findings by Division A of the Project, H. fati does indeed behave in two different states. In State I, thus dubbed "Stasis", the H. fati colonies are particularly weak and as vulnerable as most other bacteria. During State I, it is vulnerable to antibiotics, cytotoxic compounds, radiation and most other disinfectant methods. While H. fati has demonstrated to become active upon encountering higher temperatures, it will die at any temperature achievable by combustion, while lower temperatures will only cause colonies to become inactive, but not die. Thus it is very vulnerable during this state. However, once H.fati enters State II, dubbed "Frenzy", the speed of consumption and reproduction of the colonies, as well as the release of the enzymes responsible for the severity of the "infection", all methods will be rendered practically useless, as H. fati will keep reproducing and consuming organic matter until it reaches saturation and a chemical change in the enzymes kill the vast majority of colony or infection, leaving few, weakened individuals. At this point, only extreme freezing temperatures have been shown to slow it, and with varying success. Nonetheless, H. fati will not enter State II as easily, and requires specific chemical and physical conditions. Furthermore, not all organic matter is vulnerable to it. Thus, Division B proposes the usage of liquid nitrogen for neutralization in case of an outbreak, later resorting to conventional antibiotic means for termination. In respects with the infection itself, it has bee noted that H. fati's notoriously aggressive actions on tissue are due to enzymes it produces that behave similarly to cytotoxic compounds. Thus, Division B is currently investigating on the way cytotoxic compounds are neutralized, with special similarity to Chloramine-T's decontamination of Sulfur Mustard. Nonetheless, it is important to note that..."
Mann closed the report, as he intended to finish it later. Division A had been successful in discovering everything about the organism, as seemingly Division B was succeeding in finding ways to kill it. Now, Bernhard Mann and Division C had to find a way to keep the thing alive without resorting to microorganism conservation units. The little crap, in an ironic twist, seemed to have evolved to simply die. Of course it caused death around, but it eventually just died off by its own hand. The colonies saturated so much with their calcifying enzymes that, eventually, a shift in pH caused the death of most of the colony, until the cytoplasm of the death individuals neutralized the isotopic balance. But they had not found a way to keep it from dying. When transported, H. fati cells either entered frenzy within the nutrient solutions and killed themselves, or starved to death, or very well remained inactive and were killed off in any other way in their weak state. Furthermore, the thing attacked only a few plants and most animal tissues, while it starved off on cellulose-rich tissues and was killed by most fungi. Like a panda, H. fati just seemed to seek its own death. He let out a tired sigh and went on the containment tanks. As he crossed the concrete and metal corridors of the base, he held a hopeful wish that one of the solutions of yesterday actually showed any success. 24 hours prior, various samples of H. fati had been left in different temperatures in different solutions to see if any was capable of preserving a self-sustaining colony. He approached the "observation" room in the base and crossed the decontamination gate. While the room was near the tanks, the "observation" room only contained the terminals that were directly plugged to the tank's sensors, so strictly speaking there was no way the bacteria got in the room. Still, better safe than sorry. When the blow of disinfectant was done, he went on into a large, heptagonal room full of computer terminals built into the structure, with many lights, servers and cables everywhere. He checked the results from the master terminal.
-Tank 1: Death by overpopulation in 12h
-Tank 2: Death by overpopulation in 6h
-Tank 3: Death by nutrient depletion in 17h
-Tank 4: Death by isotonic unbalance in 7h
-Tank 5: Death by overpopulation in 11h
Mann knew he would have to write a report on what exactly happened to each of the tanks later on. He had already given up with that batch and already was thinking on the hours of calculating new chemical mixtures. Then he noticed Tank 6, which read as: "Alive". He opened the eyes and reloaded the system. Could it be a false positive. Three reloads later it did not change. He approached the terminal of Tank 6 and inspected it. There it was, H. fati, reproducing at a medium rate, without overpopulating or depleting the solution, and dying off in normal numbers like it had never done before. What did that solution contain?
He checked the logs. It was a nutrient and mineral mixture with various rare earths. But the terminal registered a lot of oxygen and carbon the original solution did not have. He quickly checked the feed. There was another organism in the tank. It was... an algae? It had various cells and chloroplasts. The solution had become contaminated and algae had prospered in it, but the H. fati colonies were not dying off or overpopulating. He checked the data feed from the beginning. First, the cells of H. fati had reproduced slowly, then began to die around 6 hours in. However, in the next hour, algae started to grow and reproduced quickly. When it had saturated the solution, the H. fati had began to multiply quickly and eat the algae and then, around 17 hours, it had become stable. This algae managed to repel H. fati a bit, but also fed H. fati without inducing frenzy? It seemed so. He copied the data on to his tablet and ran out of the room. He crashed on with a few soldiers and personnel on his way to Division C's office. He barged through the door and ran directly to the lead desk, followed by the concerned looks of many.
"One of the tanks survived. It is still alive"
Director Stettin, who was Division C's lead scientists, opened her eyes widely.
"What?"
"Tank 6 is still alive"
"What solution is in that tank"
"It is not about the solution. At some point, it became contaminated with algae..."
"What? How?"
"Doesn't matter. The algae sustain the H. fati population, without inducing frenzy, but also not starving them off. Similarly, H. fati cannot consume the algae fast enough to overpopulate the solution. It is all here, in my tablet".
He handed the tablet to Stettin, who checked it for a good five minutes
"Sample the algae and find what species it is. We need to repeat conditions to find if it truly works" she said.
Mann nodded and made his way out, back to the tanks. How ironically was it that he was so happy about having a lethal microorganism from millions of years ago survive.
what a bad defibulator if it took 12 min for a defibulator to work then i wouldnt use it

Greetings everyone!
It is time to announce the winners of the daily card lottery for 2021-04-03:
Congratulations to the winners!
If you also want to be considered for the daily card lottery, you should become a Keeper of the North. It doesn't take more than two minutes, and you have a chance to win any of Season 1's legendary cards! You can also exchange endorsements and vote on resolutions to increase your chances of winning.
~ Become a Keeper of the North to enter the lottery.
~ Exchange endorsements and vote on resolutions to increase your chances of winning.
~ Win legendary cards for your collection.
Participating in The North Pacific (TNP) WA Development Program (WADP) is a great way to increase the value of your trading card collection. Through our card lottery, every day, two lucky WA nations receive cards of legendary rarity as gift, completely free!
How often does the lottery take place?
We run two lotteries per day: one emphasizing exchanging endorsements (the endotarting lottery), and one emphasizing WA voting (the voting lottery). For each lotterry, we first determine the list of eligible WA nations. We then randomly draw a winner from each list. We finally randomly draw a legendary card to gift to each winner. The selected winners and cards are announced on the regional message board, and are also added to the list of winners below.
How do I become eligible for the lottery?
Here is what you need to do to enter each of the daily lotteries.
This sounds complicated, how do I find out how likely I am to win the lottery?
We have put together lists showing the chances each eligible nation has to win each of the daily lotteries. These lists update daily. If you are not listed, then that means that you are not eligible, which you can fix by becoming a Keeper of the North.
~ Probability of winning the voting card lottery.
Which cards can I win in the lottery?
Gift cards are selected at random with equal odds from among the list of all season 1 and season 2 legendary cards available in the deck of regional nation The Northern Light. This list includes some of the most valuable cards available.
It is the end of the month, why was there no lottery today?
On the last day of the month, the lottery winners are not selected randomly. Instead, legendary cards are gifted to the winners of three top-10 categories of the WADP monthly awards. Additionally, epic cards are gifted to the winners of all awards other than the New WA Member Shout-out. Therefore, competing for the WADP monthly awards provides you with another way to win multiple free cards: up to three legendaries and five epics per month!
Legendary gift cards are selected in the same way as for the daily lottery. Epic gift cards are selected randomly from among the epic cards available in the decks of nations Card farmer 1 to Card farmer 2500.
Where can I find the lottery results for previous days?
The results of the lottery are announced on The North Pacific's RMB. Below you can find a list of all previous results announcements. The winners and gifted cards are also tabulated in this Google spreadsheet.
Card lottery results announcements | ||||
Are there any other ways I can get free cards?
Yes! You can join The North Pacific Cards Guild, which will allow you to take part in all sorts of card-related activities, such as collection competitions, pull events, and so on. In particular, you can request any non-legendary card you want in our Great Card Giveaway, and we will gift it to you as soon as we find it.
Additionally, you can participate in the executive government and win free legendary and epic cards through the Executive Card Rewards. To maximize the number of cards you can win, you can join the Executive Staff, Cards Guild, and North Pacific Army.
Where do the legendary cards used in the lottery come from?
The government of The North Pacific operates nations Card farmer 1 to Card farmer 2500, and uses them to expand the card collection of regional nation The Northern Light. This includes the legendary cards used for the lottery.
Can I help?
If you would like to contribute, please feel free to donate cards you do not need to regional nation The Northern Light. We are particularly interested in cards of common rarity, of nations that have ceased to exist, and with eight or fewer owners. Thanks in advance for your cards!

SR: RP
Late at night a woman in a cloak stood with a good chunk of New Vancouver's population protesting in front of King Jeremiah's palace demanding that a constitutional monarchy be in place, they chanted "Give the people control!" King Jeremiah stood out and said "Victoria Holmes, how did I not expect this." The woman in the cloak smirked, and then revealed herself to be Victoria Holmes "Probably because you'd never expect some of your populous to rebel." she replied. King Jeremiah was confused a little bit, he then thought to himself "Wait a minute, if I reinstate the constitution, then I get to still be King, but have little government control." He smiled a little bit. King Jeremiah looked back at Victoria and spoke "Alright, if that's what the Cascadian people want, then by all means."
Victoria was surprised and said "Seriously?" King Jeremiah nodded.
...
Victoria stood on a small stool, she had one hand on the old Cascadian constitution and one hand in the air, she said the oath.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Northwestern Pacific Kingdom, and to the nation, for which it stands, one people, in their home, with leftism and justice for all."
King Jeremiah stood and said "Congratulations, Ms. Prime Minister, I know you don't like me and I don't like you, but we will learn to get along." Victoria nodded and then smiled.
