Preamble

In a roleplay community such as this one, structure and rules are not chains, they are the path that guides us to a fun but fair roleplay region. While our region champions creative freedom and open participation, we also recognize that even the most imaginative worlds need guiding principles to govern it, maintain order, and prevent chaos. The following rules are not designed to stifle your voice but to safeguard it. They exist to ensure that no nation is silenced, no plot is unfairly undermined, and no player feels excluded or overpowered.

Section 1:
~NationStates Statistics And Provisions~

Article 1. To ensure that all interactions such as trade, warfare, and understanding the limitations of their own countries, all roleplayers will use their statistics under the 'Trend' located just below the quality of their Civil Rights, Economy, and Political Freedoms. The use of this will ensure players cannot abuse the power of make-believe with "I said so" and "Its in my lore".

Article 2. Not only will roleplayers use their statistics found under 'Trend', but they will use their Policies, People, and Government and Economy tabs, treating them as facts of federal laws, causes of death, government spending charts, and the quality/robustness of their economy.

Article 3. The following statistics will be used: Civil Rights, Economy, Political Freedom, Authoritarianism, Average Disposable Income, Average Income, Average Income of Poor, Average Income of Rich, Averageness, Compliance, Corruption, Crime, Culture, Defence Forces, Foreign Aid, Health, Human Developement Index, Business Subsidization, Arms Manufacturing, Automobile Manufacturing, Industry: Basket-Weaving, Industry: Beverage Sales, Industry: Book Publishing, Industry: Cheese Exports, Industry: Furniture Restoration, Industry: Gambling, Industry: Insurance, Industry: Mining, Industry: Pizza Delivery, Industry: Retail, Industry: Timber Woodchipping, Integrity, Intelligence, Law Enforcement, Social Conservatism, Obesity, Pacifism, Secularism, Death Rate, Rudeness, Patriotism, Primativeness, Public Education, Public Healthcare, Public Transport, Religiousness, Safety, Political Apathy, Recreational Drug Use, Compassion, Scientific Advancement, Sector: Manufacturing, Tourism, Weaponization, Welfare, and Youth Rebelliousness. These will be used for trade, economics, potentiality of internal conflict/stability, and war.

Article 5. The following statistics will not be used: Population, Blackmarket, Lifespan, Industry: Trout Fishing, Charmlessness, Cheerfulness, Economic Freedom, Economic Output, Environmental Beauty, Food Quality, Freedom from Taxation, Taxation, Eco-Friendliness, Employment, Government Size, Ideological Radicatility, Ignorance, Inclusiveness, Income Equality, Influence, International Artwork, Niceness, Nudity, Residency, Sector: Agriculture, Wealth Gaps, Weather, World Assembly Endorsements. These statistics shall not be used to keep fairness, realism, order, many are unimportant or useless, or will be accessed or assigned by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4.

Section 2:
~Restrictions and Provisions~

Article 1. Restrictions on the populations of roleplaying nations is to be imposed and decided by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4. All roleplaying nations must submit to an inspection of the size of the land they've requested and to the idea that Stage Manager-PlaywrightGermania ultima 4 might not give the player the full population or territory they've requested. Contrary to the game, populations in the real world do not increase by 5-7 million every day and will remain largely stagnant during roleplay.

Article 2. A restriction on Defence Forces is to be imposed. 500 Defence Forces rating minimu. All roleplaying nations will abide by the Defence Forces rating they have at the time of joining, but can change it with legislature from issues which must be explained via roleplay or by request of Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4. Countries with Defence Forces below 1,000 are prohibited from being attacked.

Article 3. Military sizes will be determined by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 based on personal opinion and historical trends.

Article 4. Alternate accounts are prohibited from roleplaying with, providing support to, or being used as vassals of roleplayers unless approved by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4. If a player is found with an alternate account being used as a military ally, trading partner, or supporter of their primary nation which isn't permitted by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4, they will be banned from roleplay permenantly.

Article 5. Despite their existence being an important facet of the game in issues and policy, W.M.D.s/nuclear weapons are prohibited from roleplay altogether, no exceptions unless explicitly sanctioned by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4.

Article 6. To ensure the roleplay region remains active and that players do not hog land unnecessarily, players who do not post at least one detailed roleplay post per 2.5 weeks will have their land revoked and their all previous roleplay messages nulled to free up the land area for more active players.

Article 7. Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 must be tagged in all roleplay messages so that he may remain up-to-date on all events.

Article 8. At the approval of Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4, roleplayers may 'ret-con' new policies in or out their nation's existing lore. E.G.; a nation wants to ban something but they haven't gotten the issue to officially ban it or a nation wants to be a monarchy or autocracy but haven't gotten the issue to address it, Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 may condone 'ret-con'-ing it into the lore.

Article 9. Roleplaying nations will be called by their official full name unless they request to be named something different than that, which they may and the in-universe name difference will be enforced as fact.

Article 10. Usage of A.I. is never for war or battles against Roleplayers, users will be banned within upon 2 warnings. Usage of A.I. to direct a player on military strategy during battles is permitted; but using it to write for you or even a little are prohibited if detected by Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4.

Article 11. Trolls and raiders when located will be instantly banned permenantly.

Section 3:
~Dates~

Article 1. The World Stage began in 1725 Anno Domini and will continue onward until Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 deems it fit to restart The World Stage.

Article 2.Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 or the roleplayers will manage dates and timeframes based on roleplayers' posts to triangulate what day, month, and year it is in The World Stage.

Section 4
~Technology And Real-Life Continuity~

Article 1. In our territories, there were particularly real people who currently live in whatever timeframe this is being read or will live later on. They will still exist.

Example 1. Salzburg, Austria, in 1756, Mozart will be born and as long as there is nothing going on within the roleplay that could prevent the necessary conditions for him to write his music, he will write and conduct it just as normal. Same goes for all the peoples whose conditions are met, allowing them to do whatever it is they did in the real world; be it good or bad.

Example 2. In Braunau am Inn, Austria, 1889, Hitler will be born, but if the conditions necessary for him to rise to power aren't met, he won't rise to power and will just exist. Same goes for all the peoples whose conditions aren't met, prohibiting them from doing whatever it is they did in the real world; be it good or bad.

Article 2. As it comes to leaders, certain conditions may be met for a particular leader to rise to power as the leader of your roleplayed nation, but it will still be up to you the roleplayer to tell me who will be leader even if the conditions may or may not be met for them to become in-charge.

Article 3. On to the technology segment. Lets say that in some sort of strange accident or the inventor/s are killed or the area needed isn't settled or the conditions aren't met, the technology will still be invented, just a little later on.

Example 3. Lets say (for some reason) the U.K. remains not 100% settled and the Welsh inventor Merthyr Tydfil isn't born or the conditions aren't met, the first train isn't invented in Wales/U.K.. But, fret not, the Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 will chose a proper country with the proper set of circumstances and level of technology needed, trains will still be invented. Same goes for all technologies; technologies can be created later than they were in the real world, but never before their real-world creation date.

Section 5:
~Availability And Complaints~

Article 1. Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 is a very agreeable person, can handle critisism, and is usually slow to anger. If there is a disagreement with him on roleplay rules or a complaint about a player, please do not suffer in silence, contact him about your grievances immediately and he and you can sort it out together or he can explain the reasoning behind certain rules. His daily availibility is the following:

Tuesday: 9 pm C.S.T. to Wednesday 1 am C.S.T.
Wednesday: 4:30 pm C.S.T. to 1 am Thursday 1 am C.S.T.

Section 6:
~Conduct And Executive Punishment~

Article 1. Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 does have a breaking point which can be reached through excessive telegramming, spamming, harassment, or badgering over rules or players, which will result in a 1.5-week ban from The World Stage. If excessive telegramming, spamming, or harassment occurs twice more since an initial incident, the problematic player will have their lands and their right to roleplay in The World Stage both revoked.

Article 2. Vendettas that go beyond the fun of expansion or bullying will not be tolerated in The World Stage under any circumstances. We value our roleplayers, but we also value the sanctity of fun for everyone involved in roleplay. If excessive telegramming, spamming, or harassment occurs twice more since an initial incident, the problematic player will have their lands and their right to roleplay in The World Stage both revoked.

Article 3. Personal insults or hatred won't be accepted and executive punishment will be given out to problematic players. Complaints about landmass can be discussed civilly, but excessive telegramming, spamming, or harassment of Stage Manager-Playwright Germania ultima 4 or his alts will be met with a 1.5-week ban from The World Stage. If excessive telegramming, R.M.B. spamming, or harassment occurs twice more since an initial incident, the problematic player will have their lands and their right to roleplay in The World Stage both revoked.

Article 4. Remain civil when addressing or interacting with other players by following the following: in war, 1 war message will be sent to the country being attacked and then the attacker must wait until the country they attacked responds in their own message. Messages such as "I invade your country and take it over in 1 week" or "I invade your country and destroy the entire airforce or entire navy" are prohibited unless the country has very limited sea access, very low Defence Forces, or the defending nation's capital is very close to the attacking country's borders.

Article 5. Make note that, by joining the The World Stage, any and all roleplaying nations will submit themselves to the constant potential threat of war against their country. If players cannot handle that fact or would rather not risk it, position your country onto a far-off
continent away from any potential wars by occupying low-interest land; if that is unavailable, do not join.

From 962 onward, the Holy Roman Empire began to rapidly decline as internal strife and princes with too much political power vied for land and a chance at the throne while corruption ran rampant, making it difficult for the Holy Roman Empire to become a powerful continental player in Europe. In 1740, the contemptuous Maria Theresa of Austria tried to lay claim to the Holy Roman Empire and was righteously struck down by Frederick the Great, whom took over Schlesien and Böhmen, was crowned in Prag, and reformed the Holy Roman Empire into the strongest nation in Europe.

Brief History: From 1600 to 1725, At the start of the 17th century, Portugal was under Spanish rule due to the Iberian Union (1580–1640), which followed a succession crisis. This independence was officially recognized in 1668 with the Treaty of Lisbon after years of conflict. Throughout the late 1600s and early 1700s, Portugal focused on strengthening and expanding its overseas empire, particularly in Brazil.

The new nation was similar in qualities to the old Qing Dynasty but imposed new laws, more military focus and a push on more economic trading especially with a rising Empire in Japan. Hatred for Emperor Shusheng had been rising for decades and finally boiled over, leading to civil war and regime change, putting General Xie in-charge.

Brief History: The Napolitan Empire was in a huge mess, nobody wanted to work, the schools were empty, and the King Luigi Esposito lost the control of its Pepole. It seemed hopeless, until Massimo Rivola decided to step in. Massimo Rivola was born in the capital city of the Napolitan Empire (Napoli) but he left at 23 years old, to start a new life in the holy roman empire. But when he heard that his native Land was in desperate need of someone that actually cared about the lives of the napolitan pepole, he knew he had to step in. He held speeches all across southern Italy, this made him really popular in these regions. Luigi Esposito knew he had no choice, but to let Rivola become the King of this new Napolitan Empire. And so, on May 18th 1725, Massimo Rivola was officially crowned as king of the Napolitan Empire! Rivola made a lot of changes, he everyone in the empire had to do compulsory military service, but Just for two weeks. He even changes the whole school system, but it would take me to long to explain that. But he had one big dream, he wanted to expand the influence of the Napolitan Empire across the planet, at all costs...

Brief History: When the modern human first started evolving, it evolved on the islands of Galic and Orical. These islands are what led Galorical to be called Galorical, "why is that" you may ask? Lets dive deeper into why Galorical is the way it is today and how it was founded! The first modern human is estimated to evolve on the island of Galic around 265,000 years ago, 257,000 years ago for the island of Orical, 249,000 years ago for the island Trical, and 230,000 years ago for the island of Ri. 113,000 years later, the first evidence of a conflict is uncovered on the island of Trical and Ri, skeletons from both Galic and Orical were found on the other islands, suggesting that the Galic and Orical island tribes formed an alliance and went to war with the other islands, it is suggested that Galic and Orical wiped out the other island tribes and took over, 570 years later, we find evidence of what seemed to be the first signs of permanent settlement on the island of Trical. 2,980 years later, we find evidence of the first Galorical town/city with castle-like structures and stone houses, suggesting Galorical was quick to advance into the medieval period style of kingdoms and development. 25,000 years later we find evidence of a civil war with a mass grave found in the middle of Galorical's famous rainforest. 100,000 years later, evidence of an uprising is found in ancient books and text, describing a revolt against the ruler King Trilium Grantolum who is described as a very power hungry dictator who killed anyone who dared question his rule. 20,000 years later we find signs of Galorical attempting to form a democratic government that also keeps the structure so that a King or Queen can rule that was suggested by King Rickton Gillmeer. 2,400 years later, Galorical adopts Christianity as the countries main religion in the year 1,050 AD, also later that year, the name Galorical was adopted as the countries official name and the flag would be designed 3 years later. And now, present day, Galorical is thriving yet still has many problems as it's new King, Galo Ricalium who was voted in to power by most of the country, Galo Ricalium will serve until his death or if the democratic government votes him out of power.

Brief History: In 1753, Denmark was part of the Denmark–Norway union, a centralized absolutist state ruled directly by the king. The era was marked by cultural growth, increased royal patronage of the arts, and administrative consolidation. Frederick V’s reign brought a more open and vibrant court culture compared to his father’s strict pietism. The economy was stable, driven by agriculture, Baltic trade, and North Atlantic territories such as Iceland, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts was founded shortly after, in 1754, reflecting the cultural direction of the period. The people in Norway didn't like anything and decided no more union.
