The Star Realm of Kharnus is a mammoth, genial nation, ruled by Grand Emperor Ro'Ha with an iron fist, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 5.331 billion Feraxians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The medium-sized government prioritizes Education, with Welfare, Defense, and Law & Order also on the agenda, while Environment and International Aid are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of the Citadel. The average income tax rate is 19.2%.

The Feraxian economy, worth 241 trillion Hysos a year, is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Retail, Soda Sales, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 45,246 Hysos, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.9 times as much as the poorest.

Clergy never mention brand names for fear of losing their government subsidies, Grand Emperor Ro'Ha has been self-declared as the Most Supreme Magnificent Overlord of Everything You Ever Saw, the Faith in the Grand One has been named as Kharnus's national religion, and five-year-olds who refuse to line up on command get gold stars. Crime is relatively low. Kharnus's national animal is the Gleax, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is the Faith in the Grand One.

Kharnus is ranked 166,792^nd in the world and 247^th in Starlight for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 36,558.97 Standard Monetary Units.
