"We Respect Your Right to Blow Yourselves Up"
Once again gracing the stage with equal parts regal flair and a look that says, “I can’t believe you’re doing this,” His Benevolent Majesty, The Crimson King, Westwind, took to the stage to offer his not-so-subtle thoughts on the upcoming N-Day festivities. If you can call "mutually assured destruction" festive. In his usual commanding style, The Crimson King reminded the world of the impending chaos—but, in true form, he was sure to acknowledge every nation’s right to make its own decisions, even the truly spectacularly bad ones.
Stepping up to the podium, The Crimson King addressed the gathered masses with a mix of royal authority and a dash of wry amusement.
“Ah, N-Day. The time of year when nations decide the best way to showcase their strength is by turning the NS World into a lovely pile of radioactive debris. Let me be clear—every nation has the right to choose its own path. Even if that path leads straight into a glowing crater. Who am I to stand in the way of your dreams of world destruction?”
For those unfamiliar (or conveniently forgetting), N-Day is when NationStates factions band together, stockpile nuclear arsenals, and proceed to blow each other sky-high for the coveted prize of “Most Likely to Survive in a Bunker.” The Crimson King, ever the practical leader, wasn’t about to mince words about the futility of it all.
“So, you won N-Day. Congratulations! You’ve managed to nuke your way to the top. Now, I’m sure ruling over a glowing wasteland has its perks. I mean, who needs citizens when you’ve got radioactive craters to keep you company, eh?” His Majesty remarked with a raised eyebrow.
While everyone else is stocking up on radiation suits and bomb shelters, The Crimson Order has a slightly different plan. Namely, not engaging in the mass extinction event.
“While the rest of you are busy re-enacting scenes from a disaster movie, The Crimson Order will be sitting this one out, comfortably enjoying the view from outside the blast radius. We respect your decision to rain down destruction on each other, of course, but we’ll be waiting over here, ready to help clean up the mess when it’s all said and done. You know, once the radiation levels drop a bit below 'instant death'.”
The King was quick to point out the flaws in this whole “nuke your way to the top” approach to winning N-Day.
“I mean, sure, you can be the last faction standing—if by ‘standing’ you mean crawling out from under a pile of debris, glowing in the dark, and wondering why you can’t remember what sunlight feels like. But hey, a win’s a win, right?” he said with a shrug.
Despite the snark, The Crimson King took a moment to offer what could almost be considered a helpful suggestion—if anyone was still listening.
“Look, there’s another option here: diplomacy. I know, shocking, right? You could actually work things out without turning the world into a post-apocalyptic nightmare. But hey, far be it from me to spoil your fun.”
With the audience alternating between laughter and applause, The Crimson King closed out his speech with one final thought for those still keen on lighting up the skies with mushroom clouds.
“At the end of the day, it’s your call. If you want to rule over a barren wasteland, that’s your choice. But when the dust settles, and you’re standing alone in a crater wondering why nothing’s growing, just remember—you chose this. And The Crimson Order will still be here, rolling our eyes and waiting for you to come to your senses. Again.”
With N-Day looming, the world watches as nations prepare to make their choices—whether it’s diplomacy or total annihilation. Either way, The Crimson Order will be ready to pick up the pieces… or laugh from a safe distance.

Citizens, Residents, and Friends of Equilism, The Equilism Town Hall has ratified The Charter of The Realm of Equilism.
The Conservatorship of Equilism and the Executive Orders that have governed The Equilism Township since 2020 has been terminated along with The Charter of the Equilism Township.
Today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new era in the governance of our great region. With the ratification of The Charter of The Realm of Equilism, we bring to a close the past four years of governance under The Conservatorship. The Conservatorship arose from a time of inactivity in the Equilism Township, when no one stood for elected office, leaving us in a situation that could have threatened our stability.
To resolve this, the Town Hall created the office of Governor General, a position I have had the honor of filling. During this period, we were forced to suspend portions of the Charter of the Equilism Township and govern through Executive Orders. While this structure allowed us to maintain order and stability, the creation of The Realm of Equilism brings with it a much clearer and more efficient system of governance. No longer will we need to navigate a partially enabled Charter and Executive Orders—our path forward is now clearly defined.
As I sign these documents today, I would like to express my deep gratitude to those who have helped bring us to this moment.
First, I want to thank World Assembly Delegate Isaris for your unwavering service. For nearly five years, you have upheld the Delegacy, maintaining our region's presence on the international stage. Your dedication to Equilism is beyond measure.
I would also like to recognize Former Delegate 
Small Huts, another stalwart of our region’s history. You have consistently stepped up to serve in multiple leadership roles, and your contributions have been invaluable.
My thanks, and great appreciation to you both.
To our Royal Governors, my thanks extends to you all for your years of dedication:

Chaucerin, once the second King of The Realm, your leadership and legal foresight have left an indelible mark on Equilism. You earned the title Father of Laws for your pivotal roles in our judiciary, and I am honored to be able to continue to enjoy your service to the region.
Lady Governor 
Naivetry, or Lady Nai, your leadership during the transition from the Monarchy to the Second Commonwealth brought a much-needed refresh to the region. You shaped Equilism’s governance for many years, while engaging across the NationStates world, and we are all grateful for your tireless efforts.
Lord Governor Whamabama, the Obsidian Lord, you have guarded the Founder nation Equility and served as a protector of our region for many years. While your activity has waned in recent years, your legacy of leadership here and abroad has solidified your place in Equilism’s history.
Finally, to all citizens and residents of Equilism, I thank you for your continued participation and dedication. Without all of us, there would be no Equilism. From the highest offices to the quietest resident, everyone has a role to play in our region’s success.
As we look forward, I reflect on the 20 years that have shaped Equilism into the region it is today. Founded in January 2004, we now enter another new era—an era that aims for stability, community, and opportunity. Together, we will carry the legacy of Equilism forward into the future.
