It should go without saying that I am hoping for clear skies this Monday. I do not live in the path of totality, but can drive there. The forecast is a bit of a coin toss right now.

I'm expecting 2 minutes 41 seconds of totality here at the Royal Palace. It's looking like there might be some breaks in the clouds in time for the eclipse. Maybe not. Viewing chances are looking about 50/50 right now. Current local eclipse forecast: 69% cloudy, 2% chance of rain, and a pleasant high of 80F.

I hope everyone had a nice and safe eclipse day!

Time for round three of our XO poll. Trek Tuesday!

Thin clouds did not prevent a full view of the totality here at the Royal Palace. After a few failed attempts to get some kind of decent picture, I deciding viewing the totality with my binoculars was more important than fiddling with a phone. I got some good lens flare shots of the partiality at least.

Spectacular view of the eclipse, diamond ring, baily's beads, corona and prominences. The 360 degree sunset/sunrise scene was a bonus.

Boy, that was weird.
