This is a region for NS FTers who know that they are totally cool and don't have to constantly prove it to others. We're the kind of people who are the platonic form of all that is awesome. The Nirvana of awesome, the coke of awesome, etc. Come in and be welcome, but mind the cats!

For you SW RPers:

Space Lifts in some cat nip. =^^=

Don't forget the scratching posts!

Just... outta curiosity.... in my own insane way. How 'feasible do you think it would be turn a Milky Way sized type galaxy, in a very real starship, aka... a 'galaxy ship', or more like a immense galaxy sized ark? And yes the insane challenges do immediately come to mind for it all. This binder for my version of a technological part: Fold Gate technology.

And yes I've been playing around with Stellaris, and it's Megastructures modset. =^^= So... love it? hate it? Feed my mind to a cat for a snack? Have I been eating bush meat for kicks? (Nevermind having gone through recent Afib treatments, so possibly dat too. =^^= )

What is this regions Discord channel, btw?

We never had one. We just use the NSFT Discord, although even that's kind of quiet these days. And as per your question, you'd probably need to be a 3.5 on the Kardashev scale.

Yeah that's basically the one we use.

Lets take this one piece at a staggering time.

Lets start with the newton easter egg. Gravity. Not the over arching Dark Matter halo of the entire thing at once. Like grains of sand, quartz or otherwise, that make up a mountain, this version starts at the galactic center, as well as with each individual star, and star system. All star systems are linked together by gravity, as much as each individual star system is gravitationally, intra-linked by both gravitational, and electrostatic, down to overall atomic interaction forces. 'not' subatomic, as quantum foam effects make for subatomic randomization problems, that require a quantum computer node, handled at specialized computational bodes, discussed as much later, as well as hybrid discussed here. But it 'all' starts with Gravity. As we Gaians see it. We Gaians see Gravity and Dark Matter as nigh synonymous constructs, and compute interactions accordingly.

This is Part One in this discussion series. More to follow, with plenty of flame-plasma content to follow. (Also to limit post sizes where required. =^^= )

Kay... next step: LaGarage Point stability and control.

Every Star System with host planets and orbital natural lunars each have a number of Lagrange points that are, by definition: positions in space where the gravitational pull of two large masses equals the force needed for a small object to move with them.

Sol-Earth by sample has five such points, meaning throughout a standard star system, each orbital planetary node has numerous such points, mostly gravitationally stable, but with pretty much all star systems, there are numerous smaller sub bodies that can cause gravity shadows to become fluid, causing gravitational variables to account for.

There are even System grade Lagrange points to account for, based on the solar anchoring body, to calculate with. So... numerous stable, and some unstable gravity nodes to account in, when creating a system that is stable, verses other adjoining star systems, 'and' numerous celestial objects, such a Parsecs wide nebulae to calculate in, including at scales of from star system interaction, up to local stellar construct up yo calculating entire galactic arms, and much more Dark Matter affiliated gravitational effects.

So... how do you try to bloody well control all of that?

Fold Gate interlink portal nodes. (And the largest knowable, comptroller system known. More on that later. =^^= )

Welcome back to New Dornnie. =^^=

Sorry for not continuing posts... again. :P

I've been playing Elite Dangerous for much of the past month, grinding for my own Fleet Carrier. I'm at the five billion credit mark, so far. =^^=
