The Free Land of TorNaGul is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Luca Aeris with an iron fist, and renowned for its museums and concert halls, ubiquitous missile silos, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 31.17 billion TorNaGulians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The enormous, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Education, Healthcare, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Libria. The average income tax rate is 94.9%.

The frighteningly efficient TorNaGulian economy, worth a remarkable 6,482 trillion yeasts a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, extremely specialized black market in Information Technology and Book Publishing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 207,972 yeasts, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Parking lots are littered with coffee cups and doughnut crumbs, even secular TorNaGulians are shouting "Blessed are the cheesemakers!", TV coverage of music festivals consists mostly of backstage interviews, and newly synthesized elements' half-lives are a million times shorter than the time it takes to say their names. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. TorNaGul's national animal is the blub, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is The Church of the Void.

TorNaGul is ranked 1,018th in the world and 16th in the Rejected Realms for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 15,582.99 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
