I'm fairly neutral with the China-related issue, though I do lean quite a bit favourably on the People's Republic of China on a wide range of issues, though arguably, on the other side of the strait... My impressions of the island can be divided into two periods. The first period was when I showed deep sympathy for the KMT. My second period is one of disappointment. This change was the result of close observation on the spot.

The modern PRC is as close as it gets to Sun Yat-sen's state of political tutelage and has done well stoking the fire of Chinese nationalism in recent years, but I personally consider the historical and ongoing horrors of CPC governance to blot out any of its positive sides. No matter your view on the modern KMT, anyone should have a hard time seeing past decades of Maoist mismanagement and atrocities, the genocidal mistreatment of Xinjiang and Xizang, and the systematic dismantling of Hong Kong's economy and political freedom.

I believe there two periods to China's KMT, one, coming from the Mainland and the other coming from the island of Taiwan. As for the CPC... sure what Mao Zedong did was an unspeakable abuse of power, and clashing with political opponents when things didn't go by his way, yet we need to consider his first few policies, such as the Marriage Laws of 1950s, and other certain initiatives. As for the region of Xinjiang, I do believe what the government is doing, can be considered sufficient, since the region itself has been a hotbed of terrorism, furthermore, I am in favour of the National Security Law for the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong. I see the legislation as a way to fix the city and cover the legal loopholes.

I have a girl cousin of Chinese Cuban, Euro Espaņa La Madre Patria descent, she is a beautiful Lady, looks white Euro Spaniard with certain Chinese facial features, we affectionately call her La China in the family. It is a Hispanic, Spaniard custom to affectionately call certain family and friends El Chino and La China, which means Chinese, even if they are not of Chinese descent.
I have a Cuban Chinese Friend and his family in Miami, he has a Chinese cousin in Hong Kong he is concerned about, he once visited his cousin and his family in Hong Kong, they communicated by regular sign language, pointing to this and that, and exchanged translated letters from Spanish to Chinese and vice versa. Today they continue to exchange translated letters.
China is a rich $ nation with much greater economic potential. I am a strong supporter of China and the Chinese people, not of the Chinese mainland communists, no matter what economics they actually follow.

Though I spent some time there nine years ago, I left when I founded this region in 2012.
