The Grand Imperium of a Thousand Realms, known as the Grand Imperium, and informally referred to as the Imperium or the Empire is a multi-galactic empire ruled by The Novum Imperium of Greater Alpha in the name of the God-Emperor. Formed after the Second Great Crusade, the Treaty of Terra resulted in the formation of a new unified order in the galaxy group.

The Grand Imperium is a massive confederation of independent nations with varying forms of governments and ideologies under a central government de facto administered by Adeptus Terra. The interests of all nations are represented through the Imperial Assembly (IMA) overseen by the Lord Speaker of the Assembly.
