Inter-regional Event Announcement!
The Government of the Empire of Great Britain is happy to announce that after intense talks with our allies, Aeternum, a new inter-regional gameside event will be held next weekend, in a jointly created region, Flagistan. Resident nations from both regions are invited and encouraged to participate, with further details and game rules that cab be found in the dispatched linked!
Cabinet Reshuffle
Earlier this week, a Cabinet Reshuffle was announced from 10 Downing Street after the resignation of the Right Honourable Philip Goodest from the Home Office, due to RL reasons. His post as Home Secretary has been occupied by the Right Honourable Ulrich Bauheim MP, who served as Foreign Secretary up until then. The Foreign Office will be headed by the Prime Minister himself for the time being.
New Speaker
After the resignation of the previous Speaker from Parliament, the Right Honourable Jacob Sherwood, former MP for Wrexham, a by-election was called, with no candidates registering. Therefore, the new parliamentary composition fell from eight to seven members. In a uncontested election, the Right Honourable Nathaniel Sherwood, MP for Chelsea and Fulham, was elected as Speaker of the House of Commons, returning to a position he served before.
Parliamentary Update
The Government has been recently in big trouble with its bills either defeated or amended in the House of Lords. The Royal Assent (Repeal) Act 2026 and the Parliamentary Eras (Repeal) Act 2026 have both been defeated, with the Government Terms Act 2026 heading for the same fate. The Constitution (Stronghold Transition) Act 2026, instead, was amended and sent back to the House of Commons. The MPs accepted some of the amendments proposed by the Lords, while reinstating some other clauses. Now the bill needs to go through the Sovereign's House again. We'll see if this centerpiece of the Executive's legislativa agenda will be approved or rejected by the upper chamber.
