The Queen's State of Aedile is a gargantuan, efficient nation, notable for its complete lack of public education and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 30.417 billion Aedileans enjoy frequent elections, which are uniformly corrupted by big-spending corporations buying politicians who best suit their interests.

The minute, moralistic, pro-business government, or what there is of one, is solely concerned with Industry. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.5%.

The powerhouse Aedilean economy, worth a remarkable 1,124 trillion betales a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Gambling, and Information Technology. Average income is 36,970 betales, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 123,052 per year while the poor average 8,277, a ratio of 14.9 to 1.

The government is reining in public spending, voting is voluntary, all tariffs have been abolished, and none has been named as Aedile's national religion. Crime is a serious problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Aedile's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is none.

Aedile is ranked 317,820^th in the world and 1^st in the Republic of Latvia for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring -6.32 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
