Legislative Procedure Act

  1. An act of the Senate shall be proposed and voted upon in the following manner:

    1. A member of the Senate shall create a dispatch which contains the proposal and the dispatch layout shall be in the same format as previously passed laws

    2. The proposal will then be submitted to the Prime Minister who shall check the legislation is written in the correct form

    3. The Prime Minster shall then determine whether the legislation shall be brought to the floor for debate and voting

    4. If the legislation is brought up for debate, then a debate period of three days shall begin immediately

    5. During the debate period the original sponsor may amend the legislation according to other members suggestions

    6. Once the debate period has ended, a voting period shall begin which will last until whichever of the filling occurs first:

      1. All Senators have voted

      2. Three days have passed since the voting began

    7. The legislation shall then be considered to have been passed if a majority of members vote for the legislation

  2. Acts of the region may be amended by the same process as described above

  3. Once a law has been passed it shall be added to the regional law book in good time
