Our region stands by the original Marxist-Engelian idea that empires can be progressive forces, that some nationalities await the fossil record and that proletarian revolution doesn't contradict human evolution.
And of course, we honor your region's namesake, the renowned German philosopher. Regardless of the differences which Marx & Engels would have had with Nietzsche (and there absolutely would have been plenty), their envisioned socialist aims sought to liberate Man from the time-robbing tedium & hazard of subsistence toil, and deliver Him instead to a life of human cultural work. In this vein, regardless of the philosophical differences, we respect the legendary existentialist for his contributions in provoking intelligent soul-searching.
