Sia, Mariansatama 19/03/24 - On March 16-19 elections of the President of the Republic of Saarenmaa were held in the Republic of Saarenmaa. According to CECRS data, the head of the Social Democratic Party "RSDP" Emilia Hämäläinen won with more than 60.08% of votes and closed any possibility for a second round. Her competitors were Mikael Kuningasenen, who got 16.67% of the votes, a member of the liberal party "Independent Saarenmaa" and the head of the conservative party "National Unity" Antero Autio, who got 23.26% of the votes.

According to experts, the fatigue of the dominance of the Liberal Party in major decisions affecting the country and the economic stagnation as well as the sharp rise in inflation led to a more stable and favorable situation for social-democratic ideas and therefore gave the green light for a high result for the RSDP candidate.
In the opinion of Matti Hokkonen, candidate of political science, that Hämäläinen has conducted a great election campaign and convinced honestly hundreds of citizens of the Republic pf Saarenmaa to vote for her.
Autio's comments on the outcome were sad, he was disappointed in the election results and replied that citizens are "deluded" and have fallen under "well-designed brainwashing" Kuningasenenen commented on his astonishing defeat as follows: he spoke about Article 3 of the Constitution of the Republic of Saarenmaa, 1,2,3 paragraphs, as follows:
"1. The source of power in the Republic of Saarenmaa is its people.
2. The people exercise their power directly through state and local government bodies.
3. The highest expression of the power of the people is elections and referendum."
For information in the Republic of Saarenmaa citizens acquire the right to vote when they reach the age of 18. 215270 citizens of the Republic of Saarenmaa have the right to vote in the Republic of Saarenmaa as of 19.03.2024, during this time the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Saarenmaa (CECRS) noted a turnout of more than 80%, and accordingly more than 179 658 citizens of the Republic of Saarenmaa took part in the elections. The inauguration of the newly elected President of the Republic of Saarenmaa will be held on May 1. Independent international observers from more than 78 countries were present at the elections. According to the experts there were no violations. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Saarenmaa, the President of the Republic of Saarenmaa is elected for a 4-year term by equal and direct universal secret ballot.

I got this in March of 2023, we made it to the finals but sadly lost 3-4.
