Region: Forest

I consider myself as one of the OG Forest Card Collectors. So I can honestly say that I have known and traded with Love and Nature for a long long time. I always felt it was a fellow brother in arms and it traded honestly and fairly. It was the first nation I sold multiple cards to in short span of time and being a fellow Forestian collector I did it mostly at junk value. Sure at some point and much to my dismay it decided to enlist a large army of worker bees and join the dark side of card trading but I can see the temptation and almost the necessity if you want to be in any way serious about card collecting. I applaud its accomplishments and understand the joy and the thrill of the chase when reaching several milestones along the way.

The response on the request by Siornor however made me rethink that position. Maybe my previous and personal (pleasant) experiences have clouded my view but I slowly started to realize that Love and Nature now stands for (almost) everything I despise about the card game. As Jutsa explained the card game is a simulation of a capitalistic trading market with (intentional) flaws in it that are open to being (ab-)used. So how far are you willing to go in pursuit of a "material" gain or accomplishing your goal? That question can only be answered by the player.......Before the new season came out we had a quick deliberation on this very RMB on how to approach it. Some plans were made to cooperate but (again) it never got beyond that. And now I start to understand why? The large card collectors in this region simply don't WANT or feel the need to cooperate. Like with the other side games they find it more appealing to juggle XXX-puppets to get the job done than to interact with (and trust) their fellow regionmates to accomplish a goal. Call me a sentimental fool but I still hold Forest above the "everyone for themselves" and the "that is just how the card game works" way of approaching things.

A while back someone asked on the RMB why people joined and stayed in Forest. For me the reason was that it is or was the closest thing to an online community that encourages and cares for each other while allowing for differences in opinion. Something like that is hard to find these days. The focus especially in the side games however continues to slide from the "having a fun experience together" to "getting results".

So Ownzone hereby formally requests Love and Nature to reconsider its stance on how to interact with fellow regionmates in the card game cause its current response is not to our satisfaction.

EDIT: Also glad to see Frieden-und Freudenland re-emerging! What is up?
