I don't think that will work, real social contact is necessary. Although the nature of the school as it is conceived today is not that old, segregation for age, the bell to end the class, ... is old industrial order of the factory bring to the classroom and it was not an accident. It was planned.

Besides the other main real objective. To instill discipline and obedience towards authority.
