The Republic of Jvp is a large, safe nation, notable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic population of 124 million Jvpians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 46.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Jvpian economy, worth 3.53 trillion dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Book Publishing. Average income is 28,503 dollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jvp's national animal is the dove.

Jvp is ranked 301,172^nd in the world and 7^th in Regions for Largest Black Market, with 18.0 billion Standard Monetary Units.
