INSURGENCY!
At 1617 today several co-ordinated attacks occured in Al-Tijarat, Al-Salati, Madinat Al-Wurud. A National Army garrison was attacked by several gunmen that had emerged from 2 vans that had been armored. Claiming responsibility for the attacks are the Salvation Front, Al-tayir alfyniq, and the Levant Reunionist Group (jamaeat tawhid bilad alshsham ; JTBA) and are proclaiming a unity to "reclaim" United Nukunromen for true Islam, and criticizing the reformists in the national council and the Sultan for allowing it. At the same time the JTBA are attempting to bring up recruitment as sentiments against the Levantine government are at an all time high.
The National Army is rapidly deploying to strike at several suspected safehouses, but the insurgents seem to, as of right now, have the upper hand in the budding conflict
Unicameralism
Aftet a recent controversy over the failure of a bill in the upper chamber overwhelmingly supported by both the public and the lower chamber, Victorelians have called for a referendum to end bicameralism. This referendum will take place in the next few weeks. Polling data already suggests that an overwhelming majority of Victorelians support getting rid of the upper chamber. This might be the final blow to the old system created by the King to first stablish democracy in Victoreli, soon to be replaced by a new and more democratic system.
The Saintrilu Parliament has passed a bill raising the Joint Saintrilu Defense Budget by ʂ72B (ђ100B). Saintrilu will also begin construction of its first super-carrier the Type-004 Aircraft Carrier.
The Choseonese won has been fixed to the Japanese yen—and indirectly to the hansdeltano—at an exchange rate of ₩10 per yen, or ₩1,000 per hansdeltano.

The Commons approved the Professional and Essential Foreign Workers Act (EFWA)
Today - National Assembly - The House of Commons has passed related Acts to reforms the tax system regarding corporate taxes, tax incentives for several businesses and also easing high-skilled and essential foreign workers to obtain a working visa specifically from The Republic of Oimatsu, This act would relaxing the law that extends professional workers job from Oimatsu to enter the Azharian, such as scientists, lawyers, and engineers, before which foreign professional workers were only allowed to become partners under the auspices or leadership of Azharian.
According to Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Disability Inclusion, the Honourable Juan Israel who is also the author of the bill to the law, he said that the purpose of this amendment is simply to fulfill the demand by the Azharian Economy, Hon. Israel also stressed that this bill is a subject to amendment with the will of HM's Government.
The JH Parliament are entering a debate on company fraud. It is expected to be quite the tense debate this afternoon, with all sides attending, a rare case in JH Politics.
Lovecraftopolis takes the L
Lovecraftopolis has been eliminated from the W.B.L.
After bringing the Quarter-finals series to Game 5, the students lost by a staggering 47 points to Neo-Trinity. In the previous game, Neo-Trinity had just barely pulled off a win, 75-74, via a last-second three point shot. If Charles Duchess had defended that shot properly, Lovecraftopolis would be in the semi-finals.
Given the storied alliance between Lovecraftopolis and Gabeopolis, Lovecraftopolis's citizens at least have someone else to cheer for.
Mt. St. Greene Update
Mt. St. Greene appears to be on the brink of eruption. Expert meteorologists from the Ministry of Science & Research have estimated that it will erupt in less than a week. Computer simulations depict a flood of mud—from the melted icecap—will cover over half of the Black Forest Valley, destroying part of this national park. In the simulations, the mud flow is shown almost "combing over" trees, to the point where it looks like someone's muddy hair from the sky.

The Trident Phillipenes was able to capture part of the Northern Islands controlled by the CRP (Communist Revolution in The Phillipenes) Troops are entering now.
TNN- Typhoon Miglin Coverage
On the Eastern (And only) coast of The Trident Union, a now Catagory 4 Typhoon Miglin is approaching. It is hitting the Northern part of the nations coast, with the most damage being in Ardo city. Significant damage will also occur in Pinal City.
TNN- CRT Breaking News
In the small city of Sisquash, Trident Elite (OOC: Sort of like the US Seals or Marines), entered an abandoned office building to find a huge group of the CRT. This is there 2nd largest headquarters. The Elites were able to kill all the members in the building, and finding important clues. As of now, hundreds of thousands of mini HQ's around the nation have been captured from these clues. There are only an estimated 38 HQ's in the country left compared to the 9384 captured today. The millitary have dealt a devistating blow to the CRT, and the Elite squad will recieve the Honor Medal, the 2nd highest of the nation.

It has been confirmed through the autopsy that Thomas Mellen was killed on the beach where he was found, the police so far have 3 suspects who were on the beach with Mellen on the day of his disappearance, one was arrested and this was his testimony.

TNN- Breaking News!
Justice has finally been served to Mathew Milgorn, after the main CRT HQ was destroyed in a missile strike this morning. The CRT HQ was located near the 2nd one, since it seemed like so obvious a choice. Billy Mcthawfy gave a speech, which officially is changing the foreign policy of the nation.
"The Trident Union has been a remarkably diplomatic nation, with multiple interactions with other nations. But one thing I noticed is that we got a lot of help offers during this crisis. One of the main from Cartdrigen. So under a direct vote of the people, we will be changing our foreign aid spending to go up." One thing Mcthawfy didn't mention was that the extra money would come from the education budget, and an equal proportion would go to extra millitary funding, which is pretty low compared to other nations. Billy Mcthawfy however assured that there won't be much change.
One of the first foreign aid projects Mcthawfy want's to embark on is to help Lovecraftopolis puppet with their current Mt. St. Greene crisis. If Lovecraftopolis puppet agrees, planes with scientist and the evacuation vehicles (that just came from the east for Typhoon Miglin), will aid them in evacuating the surrounding areas of the nation. This project would also improve relations between Lovecraftopolis puppet and The trident union.
Chancellor Allen, backed by his Ministries of Welfare and Science & Research, graciously accepts McThawfy's generous offer. Allen does note for the record that the majority of citizens have been evacuated already, but any help is of course welcome.
SRS operatives have been deployed to the city to make contact with resistance leaders to arm and train a favorable resistance movement in North Libertara.
3 days ago an operative gave a disturbing report, the more leftist hardliner groups were not only already armed and dangerous but had been given access to heavy explosives. Suspicions were pointed towards Saintrilu and Prestorosea, but with no leads to go off of it was dropped. SRS operatives are now attempting to gather less radical militia groups and are arming them with a variety of small arms, FAVs, and man portable launch systems.
This is my official resignation from the Role Play of this Region, in the form of a final RP post. Sorry I never fully got involved with the international stuff, or building embassies, or anything like that. I had fun while I was able to keep up. Now, I’ve technically lapsed more than once with the maximum amount of time allowed between RP posts. Life is tough guys.
So, here’s one final RP post about the fall of Aerinaea (RP-wise. I’ll still be around in the FNR):

The insurgents waited, silent, atop the roof, waiting for their target. It had taken much pain and murder to get to where they were now, and the atmosphere reflected the tense nature of their operation. Their goal: bring destruction to the nation which they hated. Aerinaea was prosperous, annoyingly so, and their cause, which had operated on the principle that union of the former warring Aerin States was a bad idea that could only lead to chaos. Unless they were the ones doing the uniting, that is.
The thunder of helicopter blades met their ears, but they did not turn towards the sound. They knew exactly where their target would be, and when to strike. They gripped their .50 BMGs just a little tighter as the whirr of military helicopters beat closer and closer.

It was tough work being a mole, even more so when you were a spy for a subversive organization bent on the destruction of a whole country. But you had to do these things, right? For the Cause, they had been told. Was what he was about to do even possible? The President was a formidable target, if not for himself than for his tight security detail. A detail, he would soon find out, that had a problem with loyalty.

It was not easy shooting a Senator. The news anchor knew that much. He knew why: the succession of the President must be destroyed completely and utterly for this plan to work.
Despite the deadliness of what he was about to do, he smiled as he walked into work that day. As he sat in the newsroom, awaiting an interview which would probably change the world, or at least this corner of it, his target walked in. His heart rate quickened, and he found he had to wipe his forehead of the cold sweat that had emerged. No one knows, he told himself. They couldn’t possible know. All the same, he patted his suit coat, wherein lay a holstered 9-millimeter semi-automatic pistol with one magazine. He would probably die today. He had accepted that. But it’s for the Cause, right? That’s worth it.
He told himself these things as he smiled warmly to his target, third in line for Presidential succession, and motioned for him to sit down. The cameras’ lights started blinking, a countdown to the news anchor’s final interview. A deadly one.
What the news anchor did not know is that there were similar operations going on all over the country of which he was about to assist the destruction.
The night was bloody, and with the fall of the limp, shattered body of the succession of the President came the end of a once-great nation, living only now in memory.

New Roman General Elections on the horizon
The first New Roman General Elections coming up this month have set New Rome ablaze with chatter. This is something that no loving citizens have seen before so they have the right to be excited. Right now it is expected that the Interim Chancellor and Spartacus League nomination, Ciosa Natari, will win the elections due to many agreeing with how the country has been run these past few months after Benito Finelli stepped down. On the other hand Imperial Party nomination, Enzo Bianchi, has done well in the polls getting a 24% approval rate. The first debate will be later this week.
Curse of Strahd case gets spicy The trial of two Curse of Strahd members has left the nation in shock. Both of the accused accepted the offer to reveal the secrets of their organisation for a smaller sentence. What they revealed was truly abysmal: brainwashing, indoctrination, drug and sex trafficking, murder, theft, terrorism and treason. The most important thing they revealed was the site of the group’s base of operations. The supposed base lays on the outskirts of Emilia, which some historians have cited the cause of all of New Rome’s instability in the past.

Map rules:
Players must post as their nations (in-character/IC or roleplay/RP) at least once every 28 days in the Roleplaying Paradise. If it has been 28 days since the last IC or RP post, or a nation has ceased to exist, the nation can be considered inactive.
Nations that become inactive for more than seven (7) days are considered "expired" and may be annexed by other nations. Expired nations will be colored light gray on the map with red lettering.
The 7-day period between inactivity and expiration is to allow for other players to watch how the geopolitical situation goes and for the player to reactivate the nation that ceased to exist.
Nations will be considered expired 36 days after their previous IC or RP post or 7 days after the nation ceased to exist, whichever comes first.
Nations that have been expired for more than seven (7) days after they are considered expired will be considered removed from the map, regardless of whether the map actually shows as such.
Annexation should be a war RP (but does not have to be) between the annexing nation and the expired nation. Other nations may intervene as they see fit.
If seven (7) days pass after the start of annexation and no other nations have intervened militarily against the annexing nation, the annexing nation may declare victory.
Upon the annexing nation declaring victory, the expired nation will be relabeled to indicate that it has been occupied.
Annexing nations must occupy an expired nation's land for at least one (1) week before they can begin fully integrating it.
If war breaks out as a result of annexation and the annexing nation is victorious against other intervening nations, the annexing nation may declare victory against the annexed nation three (3) days after declaring victory against other interventions.
Approved military factbooks are required for military-based annexations.
If both the annexing and the expired nation are on the same landmass but do not share a border, the expired nation will not be integrated upon victory.
If the annexing nation and the expired nation are on two separate landmasses (e.g. island vs continent), the annexing nation must occupy the expired nation for at least eleven (11) days before it can declare victory or total occupation. However, nations may not integrate territories on separate continents nor annex expired nations more than two thousand (2,000) miles (3,200 kilometers) away.
Unintegrated territories may not contribute to a nation's total population or military personnel.
If a nation has been expired for more than seven (7) days and no annexation efforts have been made, it will be considered removed from the map, regardless of what the map actually shows.
New nations will be restricted to a size of no more than 2,000 miles (3,200 kilometers) from east-to-west and 1,500 miles (2,400 kilometers) north to south.
Players who expired and returned to find their nation annexed will be entitled to an automatic successful liberation of their former map spot one time only. This free liberation pass is only if the expired nation has been integrated for less than one (1) month or was notably important in RP as determined by lore moderators. Alternatively, formerly expired players may continue roleplaying as a territory of the occupying nation.
White/blank space is off limits for invasion.
Nations must wait at least two (2) weeks after their last annexation attempt has been fully integrated (or aborted, depending on RP outcome) before starting another invasion and annexation.
Nations who depart the region without notice may have their territories marked as expired immediately.
When filling out the application, nations must specify their desired location and size. Vague answers, including but not limited to "anywhere" or "wherever," are grounds for rejection.
Repeated expirations and reinstatement of territory is grounds for permanent removal from the map.
New nations who do not make an RP post within two (2) weeks of a map update will be removed. It is recommended, but not required, that new nations who have received a notice of approval for the map begin posting in the Roleplay Paradise as soon as possible.
Nations may only annex one expired nation at a time.
If a nation annexes an expired nation that has overseas territories, those overseas territories will not be part of the annexing nation.
The map is only for visualizing the current geopolitical situation; the age of RP posts will determine whether or not a particular nation is active, inactive, expired, or nonexistent.
Players may have up to two (2) puppet nations on the map within a timeframe of two (2) months. These puppet nations will be subject to the same expiration and annexation rules as other nations, with the only exception being that the player's main nation may not annex them. Additionally, they may not share land borders.
Players may request a leave of absence from the Cartographer on the Roleplaying Paradise Discord server in the #cartographic-advisories channel. By default, a leave of absence will make a nation become inactive after five (5) weeks without a roleplay post and expire the nation two (2) weeks after inactivity for a total of seven (7) weeks from beginning leave of absence to start of expiration. However, players may request a specific date for a leave of absence to end, after which the nation(s) will transition to standard inactivity and expiration rules.
Requests for leaves of absence are permitted but not recommended for periods of less than 28 days.
Map design regulations:
The designated font is Cambria, pure black (RGB code 0, 0, 0) or pure white (RGB code 255, 255, 255) depending on the nation's color. All text should fit on one line, but if the size of the landmass makes such a task impossible, multiple lines are allowed. Text will be italicized for player-controlled nations and unformatted for overseas territories. Expired nations will have their pretitles, if included, removed; the font color to be used is red (RGB code 237, 28, 36).
The map is to be edited with a program that allows for disabling antialiasing must be disabled to avoid stray pixels, e.g. Microsoft Paint or paint.net.
The colors to be used on the map will be limited to the basic color palette of the program used. Colors of countries on the map should be similar to that of their flag, but the Cartographer reserves the right to choose another color if neighboring nations do not permit as such. No nations bordering each other may have the same colors. Expired nations will be in light gray (RGB code 195, 195, 195) and bordering expired nations may have the same color.
Oceans and other bodies of water will be light turquoise (RGB code 153, 217, 234). Names of bodies of water will be turquoise (RGB code 0, 162, 232).
