THE PRIMARY SECTORS

The GCS economy still held their primary industries of farming, ranching, forestry, and harvesting, as they had done so for many generations even before the founding of the Confederacy. The vast mountainous alpine ranges in the country also gave way to mining, largely mining only iron, bauxite, and copper deposits. But much of the raw resources gained from their extensive deposits and veins underneath the mountains were used to manufacture refined metals and products for export. However, deposits of silicon within the southwestern region of the Valais Canton, where the lands were devoid of sapient presence, were found, and it was discovered to be an extremely large deposit sitting within an 89km area. However, the mining industries were quite small compared to the other primary industries as they have yet to gain investments and expand their operations further. So, the massive silicon deposit had yet to be extracted and refined for export and the production of semiconductors. The total export value of raw resources accounted for at least five percent. But the overall export value of the entire sector totaled twenty percent.

Switzerland's agriculture industries and products are imposed with protectionist policies and high tariffs by the Federal Government. However, lower tariffs of 20% were imposed on their closest trading partners, the Phoenix Blossom nations and the Great Candain Gullblat Enclave, fostering closer trade relations with their stable allies. Extensive subsidies were provided to Swiss farmers, producing myriads of dairy products, grains, nuts, and potatoes. Cattle farms were among the largest in the Confederacy, using large swathes of the rough hills near the Northern and Southern mountain ranges for grazing. The protectionism acts primarily protected their domestic productions and did not raise food prices or the cost of production. Over 10 billion USD were spent annually to support the industry.

THE SECONDARY SECTORS

The secondary sectors, or the industrial sector, of the Swiss economy made up the second-largest import and export market with its growth ongoing and almost on par with their service industries (tertiary and quaternary sectors). >>>The GCS had extensively invested and subsidized the creation of local companies and industries within the plateau, further expanding their businesses worldwide as they steadily grew over many decades. The competitive nature of the Swiss moved outwards to serve and export their goods to the rest of the world. These companies included large lists from retail, food processing, Medtech, arms industries, aerospace industries, and many more. They are CETI, HOLM MEDICA, Lowenstrom, Zurich Komfort, TAGALogica, Panaseia, OBVRO-TAAGL, MARA-VIL, Narene Farmia, Civil MD, GXCA CMC, Emel Gram, Grandar Medical, CONTRAVES-OERLIKON, Omeg, Allheilmittel, Swiss Kalla, Gesundes Leben Co, Ruhige Gesundheit SW (RGSW), Erdwächter, Nestle, ABB, Bobst SA, Stadler Rail, Sika AG, Raug, Sig Sauer, Novartis, Roche, AOC Escal Manufacturing, and many other manufacturing companies.

Semiconductor Industry and the Enclave
The semiconductor industries were major projects conducted between the government and Swiss companies, in which they adopted the idea of creating their own designs of chips instead of relying on other nations. These projects were purposed to be an economic venture and defense for Swiss reliance and neutrality, eliminating the prospects of the product as political leverage against them.

Joint projects between the Swiss and the Candain Gullblat sprites emerged in the year 2000 further tying their reliance on each other even more. The stable enclave lived and coexisted with the alpine nation, trading, herding, and protecting their rugged border regions. THE TERTIARY SECTORS

The Swiss economy grew to develop its tertiary sectors, ranging from retail to consulting services. They utilized their quality education to train their populace and develop large skilled labor forces, working in small end to high-end careers. Nurses, doctors, engineers, scientists, IT developers, architects, and many more were among the many high-end career paths that Swiss citizens occupy, while others stayed in the lower ends (but are still equally important) like retail management, garbage disposal, fast foods, grocery, etc.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry
The Tourism industry was a major source of revenue within this sector. Highly developed and tourism infrastructures, such as bridges, railways, roads, tunnel systems, and hiking trails were still in place, providing easy access to all the major cities, Cantons, and mountainous regions. Thus, it provides excellent tourism-related equipment exports and services. Over 23% percent of lodging hotels were located in the fringes of the Grisons Canton mountains, settling on higher, cooler elevations with their ski resorts. 19% percent were located in Valais, 14% in Graubunden, 12% in the central Swiss plateau, and 10% in the Bernese Oberland.

Sprite-sized resorts were also commonplace in the Cantons of Ticino, Bern, Fribourg, Vaud, Valais, and Graubunden, where much of the infrastructures were built to house their airships. Ethnic Gullblat sprites with dual citizenship worked alongside their Swiss human and Amberlevian ant counterparts. They offered their own cultures and their slice of life within those highland tourist spots, generating positive publicity for their majestic civilization and way of life. Freelance couriers were often hired permanently or via contracts to serve the Sprite hotels and tourist spots for other sprites in the Gullblat enclave and beyond. Banking and Financial Services
Banking and financial services were one of the major sources of the GCS GDP and exports with various UBS GROUP AND CREDIT SUISSE BRANCHES within many countries. The top major UBS GROUP AND CREDIT SUISSE BRANCHES were located in Candain, Neuerstaat, Redpeppers, and the Empire of Gora, serving more than hundreds of millions with their finances and storage of funds safely within the highly protected Swiss storerooms and BANK BUNKERS. The strong financial services of the GCS accounted for an estimated 19% of their GDP, and they have employed over 900K people (230K working in the banking sector, 120K in the finance consulting industry, 300K managing the storerooms and bank bunkers, and many more). The famed neutrality and their consistent stable government earned their resilient confidence, capable of storing valued items and funds overseas in the GCS without any fear.

The GCS is not in any military alliances whatsoever, preferring not to get directly and indirectly involved in ferocious foreign affairs. Along with their strict defensive policies, they seized their natural geography and turned their highlands, valleys, and mountains into massive, hidden redoubts, poised and ready to eliminate invading armies. Their heavily defensive military nature instilled more confidence in their overall safety and stability, earning more customers domestically and abroad from all walks of intelligent, sapient life. All of the Swiss banks overall were estimated to have held over 13 trillion USD within the years 2001-to-2004.

The cities of Geneva and Zurich were placed as the main hubs of finance within the country, and both Cantons harbored their large networks of homegrown services and other international branches from foreign nations. Insurance companies also flourished within those specialized hubs, such as Swiss Re and Zurich Insurance, and other sectors in wealth management, commodity trading, trade finance, and shipping found their way into those rich zones. Commodity trade hubs also established gold refinery industries, and they continued to grow the nation’s gold trading and exports with some of the largest refiners including Valcambi, PAMP/MKS, Argor-Heraeus, and Metalor. However, this mass trading had its drawbacks, as organized crime ran rampant during the last few decades. But new policies by the Government and oversight by new Bureaus subsequently stamped on illegal activities little by little.

Other Services
Other services in the GCS, such as architectural consultation, construction consultation, design consultation, research and development, and many others, were important parts of the tertiary sector. Both the construction and architectural services boomed within the region, to which their top renowned firms built over 5 MILLION COMPLEX APARTMENTS, HIGHRISE UNITS, AND BUNKER UNITS WITHIN ALL OF THE POPULATION CENTERS IN THE PLATEAU. Gryphon, Arcö Architekten, Le Corbusier, Santiago Calatrava Architects (Zurich), Herzog & De Meuron (Basel), and Mario Botta (Ticino) were historically famous within the GCS, being the forefront of housing design, innovation, and development. The GCS ARCH GROUP, as they were known, were key drivers of emphasizing safety, aesthetics, and affordability, amassing massive contracting services to build and complete private and/or government-run projects. The Canton of Lucerne became their centralized hub, specializing in construction, architecture, and housing design. As such, Lucerne rose to one of the most important regions to which they housed the thriving markets of scientific research and construction.
High-end professional services largely influenced and began to slowly dominate the economy with the manufacturing industries catching up. These services varied from simple consultation of people's finances to the mass construction of multibillion-dollar infrastructure and housing projects inside and out. Swiss contractor services were another lucrative business within the Confederacy as new waves of housing construction and infrastructure development steadily grew with the overall 18-24 million population count. The industry represented over 9% of the GCS GDP with a value of 234 billion USD. The notable industries and firms within the GCS were CAL-MOR, LCS, DRV, MOVIT, Petalla, Cavaa, Gryphon, Arcö Architekten, Le Corbusier, Santiago Calatrava Architects (Zurich), Herzog & De Meuron (Basel), Mario Botta (Ticino), and many others.

Low-end jobs were still present within the GCS society. Although not as lucrative as the higher-end careers, demand for manpower still filled their ever-changing positions. Not only Swiss citizens filled lower waged jobs, but also immigrants and SCHENGEN workers with the nations of Baltocarpathia, Vorstheim (Redpeppers), Amberleaf, Kemonomica (Honalulu), Outer Union, and Candain (Gullblat). But the centuries of trade and economic cooperation, with only two nations Candain and Vorstheim (Redpeppers), had fostered and maintained close ties that no other nation-state ever challenged. THE QUATERNARY SECTORS

This last economic sector was also one of the most highly developed, which gave the country the capabilities to enter its complex and advanced economy. Swiss education systems heavily emphasized the training and education of its citizens and permanent residents, and with their skills acquired through high school, university, and/or any other high levels of formal education, they were able to advance into high-end service jobs, such as finance services, consulting services, IT programming, architectural services, industrial design services, and many more. As a result, over 65 percent of the total workforce worked in all fields of services. Over 45% of the workforce in the services industry worked in higher-end positions within the quaternary sector. Swiss services were one of the main major exports internationally, collaborating and aiding other nations economically and socially. Steady immigration, through the SCHENGEN ZONE with Candain (Gullblat), Baltocarpathia, and Vorstheim (Redpeppers), helped to fill the lower and middle-income positions, sometimes even the higher occupations as well. The knowledge and training gained through diploma and bachelor programs were consequential to the development and ongoing improvements to their rigid and renowned status. These services make up one of the biggest industries in the Confederacy, attracting domestic and international clients for monetary advice and safe storage. Technicians in the banking industry also served within the banking companies, such as UBS Group and Credit Suisse, as they inspected and maintained their strengthened storage rooms and bank bunkers hidden underground and/or within the mountain fortress of the Alps. Bank bunkers were a part of the "Bunkerkultur M-OD64 Rend 1203" law, falling inside the section of national security and defense. Another one of the GCS’ many significant service industries was their renowned architectural prowess and ingenuity in designing and constructing various landscapes and buildings, large and small. With the influx of various cultural styles and traditions, the once traditionalist ideas of the old Swiss chatel style architecture transformed with their sprite allies and immigrants over the centuries. From that point on and following the vast geographical differences plastered across the mountains, Swiss architectural firms propped up in the year 1850 and continued to grow until 1957, when the economy rose to never before greater heights. Export tariffs between the Northwestern Ardentian nations were kept low as per the agreement of the SZ, again driving large exports of GCS, Balto, and Vorstheim products in and out only within this pseudo-trilateral economic region. The flow of foreign workers supplied the GCS with manpower to work in low-to-middle-income occupations, thus generating more revenue for the country. The same case happened in Baltocarpathia and Vorstheim as well with Swiss humans and Swiss sprites migrating for work. THEIR JOINT PROGRAMS WITH THE ALPINE CIDA AND THE JOINT ALPINE TABAA then helped to create new cybersecurity programs and software to combat potential cyberattacks from inside and out. THE JATABAA AND THE JACSD HAD DEVELOPED NUMEROUS FIREWALLS AND ENCRYPTED NETWORKS OVER THE YEARS AS MODERN TECH GREW TO BE MORE ADVANCED. National security extended beyond the physical world, grabbing the digital with its hands to protect national interests and its citizens. Cybersecurity branches within both the Swiss and Gullblat Intelligence agencies worked hand in hand with the JACSD to coordinate their defenses, update their protocols, and evolve their encryption keys. Over 68 BILLION USD of funding was allocated to them. They became another rigid branch and one of the primary defenses of their intelligence and IP inside their defensive containment strategies.

Recent agreements between the two governments have settled in the expansion of Swiss companies to the Gullblat Enclave, granting the nation extensive licenses to produce Swiss tents and greenhouses. Before the Flames of Calamity, the northern states of Aurina, Sirion, and Cor Astar formed an influential force in the political landscape of the Sarvanti Ordant, particularly in the happenings of the Visariaika and the Assembly of Arshan. As core constituents of the decentralized system of administration that accented the nation during the Golden Age and even in its last centuries, they contributed to nearly half of the Ordant's military force through the Law of the Kshahatria and the presence of several key facilities and bases, such as the Marnan Depot which at one point stored just above twenty percent of the military's explosive munitions. Furthermore, ownership of two-fourths of national dockyards and ports along the coast to open seas was the lifeline of prosperity, ensuring access to international trade and shipping routes when the interior waters were even contested by nations such as Midribbonia. Not even mentioning the extraction of iron, cobalt, and other metals from ore-rich veins that sparsed the region, it was clear that the northern states had been vital to the state of affairs in the Sarvanti Ordant.

Due to the impassable geography of the Saring which formed the boundary between north and south, there was relatively enough isolation between the northern and southern proto-Savranti for them to develop differently. Particularly, the extreme climate of the north and lack of fertile land were catalysts for the martial nature that would be first manifested in the barbarian tribes of old. Thus, the people of Aurina, Sirion, and Cor Astar found kinship in their culture and history that made them distinct from the southern peoples of the Noble Houses. This commonality transformed into a single, shared identity by the time of Visarin Arganahod's Third Cultural Reformation, in which they would come under the colloquial name of the Arcturans. Their namesake was granted by the Visarin according to the actions of the warrior and hero Arctura during the War of the Purple Orchid, and thus the region too became commonly known as Arctura.

Many notable figures in the Assembly of Arshan and in the service of the Visariaika were of Northern descent, meaning that Arctura was able to effectively influence the political happenings of both legislative bodies in the interest of the three northern states' welfare. This was especially true because those same individuals formed the anchor of the officer's corps and general staff, holding sway over the military as political leverage. It was the scheming of Aisarns such as Jurgen Sol and Harik Kosmi that successfully broke the backs of Carrion magnates over control of trade hubs and contended with the influence of the Noble Houses of the south, though the north had no such houses of its own. As such, Arctura came to also be known as the Northern Star for its inextinguishable character.

The Flames of Calamity crippled Arctura in many of the same ways that it had broken the reign of the Noble Houses and sundered Carrion. The onset of the war was marked by systematic attacks against national power grids and inter-regional communication systems which put Arctura into an informational blackout, with what sparse communication between the capital and the northern states being hijacked by Warmind Tauri to mislead Ordant forces from the north into attacking the south under the lie of the Houses revolting against the Visarin, which worsened the effects of the initial attacks by Warmind Tauri in the south. By the time the fog of confusion had cleared, the South had already suffered such brutality with the death of Visarin Galahan and much of both the Visariaika and Arshan that the government had essentially collapsed. With most of what remained of Ordant forces belonging to Arctura in the south, Warmind Tauri waged its next campaign of attacks in the north.

The response was swift but not fast enough to stop the ruining of nearly forty percent of the northern states' territories. Though Warmind Tauri's campaign would eventually be halted at the Defense of Railanor and its eventual destruction with a joint operation between Arcturan, Carrion, and Noble House remnants, the fallout of the war would lead to the current state of affairs and ongoing cold war in the region. The prior attacks by Arcturan forces on the south, though unintentional, had turned the noble houses scornful of the north. Relations between the North and the South would only further deteriorate to the point of ties being cut during the Valehir Incident, as the Noble Houses of Haedus and Oris came to fill the power vacuum left by the fall of the Ordant. Similarly, Carrion would isolate itself from the encroaching tensions in the West, spurred on not only by past resentments but by the new line of Autar who came to distance themselves from the idea of Sarvanti unity.

The failure to clean up remnants of Warmind Tauri's forces throughout the north and the sheer collateral damage sustained by region-wide infrastructure forced Arcturans from Aurina, Sirion, and Cor Astar to flee further north, abandoning cities and industries from the Saring to Schanier. Arctura, though inadvertently causing the most damage to the Sarvanti Ordant, had also sustained nearly as much as the south and arguably more as the shame of the war and the political aftermath would radically impact Arcturan culture during the recovery period. What came as a result of this was a radical reformation of Arcturan society spurred on the emergence of new-age nationalist movements that challenged conservative leaders and the Conference of Thirteen which would birth the Arctura into the Federation of Martial Republics.

Following the trends of the Great Revolution which saw the reclamation of old territories by the four factions of the ongoing Cold War that has come to be known as the Silent War, Arctura was able to recover sixty percent of its lost territory. Previously these territories were shared by the three northern states, and the difficulty of maintaining those territories in the wake of new challenges such as rogue bands of warmongering raiders and the threats from the exclusion zones was enough to raise the concern for a new system of governance. The Conference of Thirteen set about the creation of ten new states in addition to Aurina, Sirion, and Cor Astar and the creation of the Federal Administration Council to enforce the new laws formed based on the old laws of the Ordant.

The Administration Council has done much for the recovery of the Arcturan States and healing the wounded identity of Arcturans across the north but it is not without flaw. Inquiry into the political happenings of the Council has noticed a huge divide in ideologies between the conservative Old Guard and the nationalist New Guard. Particularly, members of the New Guard seek to achieve visions of a greater Arctura by all means necessary, which includes conflicts with the two alliances in the south headed by Haedus and Oris respectively, while the Old Guard, raised on the wounds of the Flames of Calamity, seek to maintain armed neutrality against the affairs of the south...

The military contingent stationed on the Mavony Isle consisted of a brigade-sized force, with two battalions maintaining the local garrison, facilities, and defense installations and another remaining in Arixa on stand-by. This force is supported by local support elements from the same league, which includes fire support systems and mobile anti-air delegated to the isles and nearby coast. With this said, the force itself was not much of a threat by itself but the closeness of the Mavony Isles to the Arixa Vassal would likely incite a swift response from the Arixan defense force, which includes veteran fighters from detached leagues of the First and Second Carrion Warhost. Not to mention, though the waters around Mavony Isles were lightly patrolled by corvettes, the bigger war fleet upstream would move down to support the defense of a direct assault on the isles, bringing a firepower lesser to the Midribbonian fleet but still capable of causing heightened casualties. Air elements, as in fighter-bombers, from the interior region of Carrion, are also a threat, but with other responsibilities, they would be used sparingly in combat against an offending party.

A tactical analysis of the area of the Mavony Isles would suggest an operation involving pre-emptive strikes not only against the isles but the mainland in the west and east. Particularly, disabling communication and transport infrastructure would impede the swiftness of retaliation from the mainland. the bridge between the Mavony Isle to the Arixan mainland is responsible for maintaining the lifeline of logistics between the isles, though it maintains a heavy defense. Targeting the bridge as well as several mainland installations, including Fort Jorsan which maintains most of the aforementioned fire support systems would be a strategic move in the opening assault. However, there are still uncertainties in a direct assault with reports of an arm-slave force operating near the Mavony Isles.

The confirmation of the contract would be well received, as work has been slow in recent years. With the contract ready work to deliver it would commence immediately, estimated to take with the airframe deliveries arriving in 2 batches, each 1 year apart from each-over. The equipment will also have offers to send instructors for both the flying of the aircraft and their maintenance.

The first to be delivered in batch 1 was the 5x AAG-24 "Cataphract" painted in the livery of the DRA.
The AAG-24 "Cataphract" is a heavily armoured beast of an aircraft capable inflicting heavy losses on whatever its sent after whether it is the flagship of a navy or an armoured column with its effective armour and countermeasures allowing it to withstand withering anti air fire and its ordinance pulverising any target. There are many stories of cataphracts going out to battle and returning with damage that would cripple or destroy lesser aircraft, these stories tend to effect the pilots making them notably more aggressive when in the air often resulting in said pilots entering situations where the cataphracts durability is tested.

In the second batch the 15x LCH-43 "Dragoon" for the DLA were sent, completing the ₣1.5B contract.
While not the smallest or most agile of helicopters, it certainly is reliable and adaptable with no expense made on the pilots. Designed to operate in any environment from the sea to the mountains its reliability and ruggedness make it very effective in all fields, pair this with its versatile hardpoint attachment system and the dragoon becomes a highly effective airframe able to take on many roles ranging from troop transport to submarine hunting. As for the pilots they will find themselves very comfortable in the well protected and comfortable cockpit which has climate control, an adaptive HUD linked to the sensor suite and a cup holder.
