This kinda thing is bound to happen. A militarize colony next to a recently annexed territory. Both sides will have military installatins and assets, and chances are they will interact. This doesn't make you a bad guy, since you're not doing anything particuraly noteworthy. This happens a lot, and it has an even higher chance of happenin with the land positioning

Today a statement was released from the new press secretary after the last one quit:

"It has come to our attention that a plane crossed the border into Southern Xenick this week. It was not our intention to violate Southern Xenickese airspace and we don't believe it was the pilots either. New precautions will be put in place to make sure this doesn't happen again. We will now be taking questions."

international news update

plaguetopia and its commonwealth with both the syndicalist republic and south plaguetopia have completed the joint second mars colonization fleet to expand the current mars base and build a new one in the noctis labrynth. this fleet being roufhly finished today is loaded with mining equipment and food processors for a new base. with the research gathered from the betel-plaguo base the proper adjustments have been made. the crew will contain a roughly even split of a women and men with 20 people going all together.

the fleet as the government has called it was in construction since the mars base was set up two years ago. it contains roughly 4 ships and an orbital command module. the jounrey is expected to last 6 months when mars comes into range in a few weeks. the project has an expected to cost 50-70 billion dollars in the first stages and then 10 extra billion for supply refills. the plan for the noctis labryinth is to eventualy dig into the rock for mining and making an expanded base.

the fabricator general has called this project a mastery of plaguetopian engineering while his peers such as lord belisarius has said this will only be worth it for mars mineral wealth.

IRP: plaguetopia will be extracting materials from the martian regolith to not only build bases but also factories to make a self sufficent colony and increase the lives of everyone on earth. it is sad if you truly believe anyone would leave an area unmined and pristine forever. of course research will be done before this.

yes, metals and the regolith which can be reused into base expansions as well of hopefully other stuff that will be good for the econom... i mean research
