TV6 Media Group d.o.o (via its TV6 Spainard d.o.o division) have announced that it has recently launched TV6 Spainard on December 4th, bringing the company’s best-loved shows to a country that has been previously underserved and often overlooked by most of the major TV broadcasters (from both Kingston-Atlantis and Central Macedonia). TV6 officials have said to us that the new station will serve as an stronger alternative to RTCM (which currently operates both TCM Spainard (formerly SBC TV) and TCM 2 Spainard) by positioning itself as a freeinum commercial TV channel and by airing/producing 340 hours of high-quality, local programming on a regular basis. However, not many people in western Spainard isn’t getting the station’s analog/digital signals and to remedy this, TV6 plans to build and install at least, 2 broadcast facilities and 4 full-power transmitters in La Rozas and Toledo (respectively), which will allow the company to fully transmit the company’s TV programming into the western parts of Spainard (with some local programming) via its analog/digital signals (channel 6).
Meanwhile, RTCM Spainard d.o.o (a division of Eos News & Media d.o.o) have recently rebranded SBC TV’s news operation as Eyewitness News (as of Nov 25th, 2020) and has recently reformatted it’s 7pm newscast from a traditional newscast into a news/interview programme, as part of its efforts to help target younger viewers across Spainard and to heavily improve its ratings (after seeing some big ratings drops over the past 3-4 years, due to its lack of honesty and integrity among younger/older viewers) during the prime time hours.
Lastly, RTCM executives have said to us this morning that the CMBA have approved the company’s application to change the city-of-license of both CJYM-TV Nova Grad and CIJA-TV Blaograd to Putingrad and Slodovograd respectively, to move their respective frequencies to channel 21 (with improved ERPs of 960 kW for Putingrad and 1,000 kW for Slodovograd) and to move their transmitters to the RTCM Broadcast Center (Putingrad) and the RTCM Television Center (Slodovograd), respectively. The 2 stations are scheduled to become key affiliates of EA.TV Central Macedonia (which is due to rebrand as EA.TV 21 next year), RTCM’s newest free-to-air TV channel

RTCM executives have said to us that an increasing amount of young people are being hungry for more real news and more fact-based information on a regular basis and that with the addition of news content on EA.TV 21, it will serve as Central Macedonia’s go-to-go source for real news and opinion among young people.
