Dear Friends and Comrades,
Today is the 21st day of the Month of Dreams, the feast of the Winter Solstice, the Birth of Light, and the Sacred Falcon! Across the Carpathian Basin, sacred fires are lit during this time and kept alive until dawn, following the customs of our ancestors. Falcons are flown to symbolically aid the Sun Father on his now upward journey. Indeed, by this time, people, animals, and plants alike yearn for the life-giving Pure Light!
This is the birthday of the Celestial Táltos. During this time, we cast our negative thoughts, anger, and other burdens into the Fire, cleansing ourselves in the process. Remember, it is the weak who cannot forgive; forgiveness is a virtue of the Strong! During the ceremonial rites, our Shamans enter a trance and "ascend to the top of the World Tree", from where they observe the arrival of the Celestial Táltos. Their hearts fill once more with Light and Love, which they radiate to all living beings of Earth Mother.
