With rumors of a new country arising from the Basaran region, a decision has been met to send a group to investigate the rumours and ascertain the truth. The Imperial Navy has earmarked a frigate for transit, with a supply ship to accompany them.
The full complement will be made up of a marine Company (270 troops), including one escort squad (8 troops). Two diplomats will be sent with the escorts to try and make contact with the locals.
The supply ship will carry assorted goods with which to offer trade, ranging from manufactured items like jewellery, to more basic raw materials like minerals and woods. This is in addition to the food and supplies brought for the marines and diplomats.
With any luck, this adventure will bring great rewards, although it is more likely to bring nothing, or even a negative return.
