As implausible as it sounds, during my world's American Revolutionary War in 1777, Quebec joined the rebelling British colonists. Since Quebec is a large territory, it had a large amount of representation in the original Federal government. We have had many different styles of government and constitutional crises since the Revolution, but it has spawned a healthy mix of Quebecois and Anglo-American culture.

Two Republics, one nation. :3
