Myea - that won't last you very long in RP as that's considered really bad form/borderline godmodding. You see, the thing about RP is: it's fun because there's unwritten rules to it that most people agree too. For example if you'd threaten large nations with nuking them just because you think you can do so it would realistically end very badly for your nation (And not just when it comes to RP but OOCly too). Especially if said nations have allies and your nation is a smaller nation with, well, no allies at all nor geopolitical presence.

The "I will nuke you because we have them!" is generally a reason for most people to already ignore your RP. As almost every knows that nuclear weapons are mostly a last resort and the immense cost of human lives has to be taken into consideration. Not even a nation as insane as say, North Korea, would realistically use them.

The USSR, French and USA tests were mostly a way to show each other's power during the height of the Cold War. These tests were used as a deterrent more than a "we will use them!". Because in the end, no one would win in a nuclear war.
