Ashgardian R&D

The project of moons back of weaponizing prosthetic limbs was a success. The Ashrunners, an Ash-Tek megacorpo's subbrach of R&D military assets are proud to announce the release of the foldable blades within an individual's prosthetic's forearm. The module is made of high quality materials to ensure durability and effectiveness, and is light enough to not hinder the wearer's agility.
The module is highly customizable, allowing the wearer to enhanche the blade module through modding if they so wish.
While the official name for the module is 'F.S.A.B' (Acronym for Foldable Stealth Arm Blades), it quickly receives the nickname of 'Mantis blades', due to the resemblance when the blades are unfolded to that of a Mantis's arms.

In a live presentation broadcasted across Ashgard, Artaecus and the city of Ivery (Northern new solingarch), an Ash-Tek representative presented the F.S.A.B to the public, displaying the effectiveness in a Close Quarter combat scenario.
The presentation also displayed how, in its folded state, allows the wearer to function normally without any hindrance as if there was nothing there to begin with.
On the stage, there were two willing test subjects who have undergone the installation of the said blade module. Both an Ashgardian, and a cybernetically enhanched human of Artaecusian origin to show that this module is 'interspecie' compatible, as both subjects managed their respective sets of mantis blades without issue, folding their blades and retreating them back into their forearm.
To further display the power and the capability of the blade modules, both subjects, whom are adept at CQC fights, initiated a duel. Of course, it was not to the death, with medical and Cybernetic mechanics staff on stand-by should anything happen. Both subjects fiercely fought, swinging their respective blades at eachother, just for the other party to parry their swings. Both of them continued to exchange blows for five minutes straight, before the representative walked forward towards the duo after signaling them to halt.
In the end, the show was concluded with both fighters safe and sound, giving eachother a handshake and leaving the stage.

This blade module however is considered military grade, and will be sold to appropiate vendors. The Ashgardian military will receive the modules, and the Ash-Tek security forces will be equipped with them just as well. Offers are made for both the Artaecusian government, and the government of Ivery/Solingarch if they are interested.

Plans have been considered to make a civilian version of the blades as a self-defense weapon. The civilian version will be very limited with modding, and the blades will be very dull albeit electrified, turning them into somekind of foldable blunt weapon that will taze on hit just enough to incapacitate, and a inbuilt transmitter that will send a S.O.S signal to the local authorities once the civilian blades will come into contact with an aggressor.
