The Federal Electoral Commission has announced its findings for the 2020 presidential election. A total of 339,489,058 voters participated in this election out of a total of 391,862,987 eligible voters, for a turnout rate of nearly 87 percent, the highest (to date) in Hansdeltanian history. Most notably, the total number of ballots cast spiked from 82,065,987 at the end of 22 September to 129,908,585 at the end of 23 September—36 percent of ballots cast at the time were on Wednesday alone. Mailed ballots accounted for approximately 36 percent of total ballots.

Civic Nationalist candidate Howard Clemens won the 2020 election in a landslide victory with more than 65 percent of the popular vote. Immediately, crowds of people took to the streets all over the Federal Union celebrating his victory. However, Ultranationalist and Ultranationalist-aligned activists have attacked various Ulymeinian and Saintriluan communities in southern Hansdeltania, accusing them of rigging the election with foreign influence on Chirper.

Howard Clemens, a professor of political science at Oured University in Osea, will be inaugurated as the 25th President of the Federal Union on 1 November 2020.
