Belka(Or The Belkan Empire)is a Nation spanning the Northern Region of Yaestrovakia, bordered by Polodoski in the west.It has a Population 67,400,000 Concentrated south of The Cheskowian Mountains in the center of the country, with some large population centers across the Southern islands and Clutzin Peninsula, and large cities, Including Furiye, the Nations Capital. The Country is reknown for its great arctic sights, culture and Large Arms Industry.

Belka has strict Emigration policies but does allow Immigration, It's Primary Economic Income comes from Sales of Rare Earth Minerals, Freshwater, and Industrial Equipment. The Belkan Economy currently Hovers around ($$$) and has a GDP per Capita of $17,434 (USD). Belka's largest companies are: Furiye International Tech Industries (FITI), Grunder Industries, General Resource, Northern Horizons Industrial Company (NHIC) and Dinsmark National Construction Company (DNCC).

Belka also maintains a Army that, while not large in numbers, operates large amounts of Advanced equipment. Belka Maintains Superiority over its own Territory through this military. The Belkan Federal State Security forces (BFSSF) are the Spy & Security forces of Belka.
History

Early Settlements
Known History in the Belkan Area Dates back to 1500 BC, Slavic Migrations would allow for large amounts of Settlers to Come into the region of Belka, settling across the Belkan Region. Major Settlements that are known to have been established are Kaikia, Orzlonzivy and Krushnivik. These were concentrated on the coast of the Nordlandy Sea and were very dependent on fishing. Around 1100 BC, the Slavic Migrations would reach through the arctic north of the country and even cross to the island of Cheskowia. The Belkan Region would see Its major population centers develop along the Coastacol river in the Southern Region of the country. The First Settlements in the arctic were Founded in 1000 BCE in Cheskowia, with some small villages dotting the northern Coast around this time
The Rise of Cheskowia
The Belkan Region would see its first Major tribe prop up in Kaikia, Around the coastacol region in 950 BCE, the Tribe's records show the name 'Kaikuan' associated with the tribe, Meaning this was the Name of the tribe probably. The Kaikuan Tribe would last until 792 BCE, until the Orzlon tribe would rise and invade Kaikuan villages and other tribes. However, the Cheskowian tribe would also begin to rise, with the largest village unifying the island in 537 BCE, the Cheskowian Tribe would also have basic naval technology, building small sailing ships to cross the shallow channel between Cheskowia and the Yaestrovakian Mainland in Belka. What Followed was the conquest of all of modern day Belka and surrounding territory's around the Nordlandy sea, Reaching around the coast to control the whole coast around the sea. In terms of Territory, it reached its greatest extent around 100 BCE, but the collapse had started, and the Empire of Cheskowia had fractured by the first year AD
The Medieval Belkan age
Belka would Fall into Stagnation after the Cheskowian Collapse, around 500 BCE, Belka was divided in 7 Kingdoms, The most powerful 2 were Cheskowia and Nortenhagen, Followed by Soutenfuriyen, and Cieldenrby. Cheskowia would then Break Apart by 400 AD.The Cheskowian Kingdom would Break up into Furiye, Sczewin,Cheskow, and Orrddens. Nortenhagen would attempt to Make work on this Chance, but it made itself go broke by 540 AD.The Nortenhagen Royalty would also go through Regime changes throughout the years up to 1000 AD. Smaller Kingdoms, through wars, would combine until only 4 Belkan Kingdoms were left on the mainland in 1200 AD, with others throughout the Belkan Islands and one on the Clutzin Peninsula.Furiye would reunify the Belkan north and Southwest by 1500 AD, and Nortenhagen would Control the Southeast.
The War for Unification
Belka would enter the Industrial age the same time as other nations, both Nortenhagen and Furiye were at eachothers throats, and the islands were independent as apart of the Kingdom of Oskair. In 1907, however, there were discovery's of Oil and Metal in Furiye, along with this, the First Belkan Thaw had begun, With the Democratic shift in Furiye and the failing economy and politics of Nortenhagen, there was mass imigration from Nortenhagen to Furiye, and a Boom in the furiyen economy.

This would cause Nortenhagen to fall into a Deep Economic Depression, and by 1930, they had fallen behind the Furiye Republic, Knowing that something needed to be done, Nortenhagen would build up their Military, however, in 1935, the Furiye and Oskair Nations Combined to form the Night fury Republic.Nortenhagen would stage their invasion in early 1940, invading the NFR and winning a series of battles in a attempt to cut of Oskair from Furiye, but they lost at the battle of Southenfuriyn, Nortenhagens industrial base would be Destroyed by NFR Bombings.Nortenhagen would surrender and be Annexed in October 1943.
The Modern Era
The NFR would move through a slow, Economic rebuilding process after the war, Which would end in 1981. Around this time, Belka would enter a economic stagnation culminating in the Belkan Great Depression of 1991, which lasted until 1998. It ended when trade deals and further Industrial investment lifted the nation out of its great depression.The Economy would only fully recover in 2008, when the Discovery of More Oil Deposits in NFR would allow more exports of Oil.

During 2012, the Belkan Air force announced its new Planes to join its air force, including the F-15LM Light fury, the F-40 Ragnarok, and a Stealth Bomber which is classified.In 2022, the NFR would put these aircrafts into service.In 2029, the NFR would de-commission the F-15LM, Due to Problems with its design, but the F-40 went into service around this time.

However as the Large amount of Development projects were funded it put further strain on the economy. The Nation surpassed 5% GDP Spending on the military and the number quickly increased to 9%. The Growth was not enough to sustain this and as Recession hit and the government refused to back down on spending the Civilian projects had much of their own funding Cut, leading to shrinking Quality of Life Conditions for the Middle and Lower Class Society. Many Foreign and Domestic News Outlets spoke of the Government as Tyrannical with the Average Citizen making seldom enough to put food on the table.

This led to the Dominant party loosing the Next Election and a New One to promise to fix the economy. The Result was reducing military spending to 5%. This, however, could not reduce the damage done as the Country couldn't generate enough revenue to fund itself with a GDP of 750 Billion USD. The Economy couldn't recover unless Drastic Measures were taken.

In the Background, officials worked in secret with Military Generals on a Plan to launch a coup on the Democratic Government. in 2031 this occured, and the Belkan Empire was formed.

This Period marked a Sign of Change in Belka as Belka resumed military spending. This came with a period of 'Integration' to better Integrate military industry in the economy. The Belkan Federation then annexed lands from recently collapsed Neighbors to grow its territory and potential income. Enough infrastructure was left for only small amounts to be spent on Fixing it. By the First Quarter of 2033, the Belkan Federation was at its largest Territorial Extent since ancient times and in a unique position to fully rebuild ancient Cheskowia to its full Glory.

In 2031, The NFR Economy would have less growth, this led to mass protest as the NFR had not managed the economy correctly, this led to the 2032 Coup in early 2032, in which Johaan Flesker took power.The Belkan economy stabilized and the Collapsed state of Turkey bird saw some of its western territory annexed, along with the Clutzin Peninsula.The Belkan nation would also see developments of new aircraft, including a replacement to the F-15LM, Known as the F/A-27.

Government & Internal Politics
The Modern Belkan State is Officially a Republic, but is closer to a Dictatorship.The Country currently has 16 Provinces that can elect a Provincial Governor.The PG (Provincial Governor) himself contains little power.The Power goes to the Belkan Upper Administration, Which is the head of state.The Belkan Head of State has Full power over almost every aspect of the country.

Infrastructure
Infrastructure in Belka is mostly confined to the south with the exception of the Northern Coast.The Capital of Belka is Furiye, and is the most Populated Belkan City, and the Only Large City in the North.Infrastructure is built up in the south more heavily, however, with a highway system existing between major cities.

Territory
The Belkan Nation has 17 Current Provinces, each classified as within the Yaestrovakian Continent.The Belkan Parliaments ONLY major power is to Dictate whether Local Provincial Laws currently match the Administrations current laws, in which the Parliament can Overrule Provincial laws unless told otherwise by the leader.

Belkas Land is Divided into 3 Classified areas:Mainland, Which includes the Main Mainland area, Maritime, Which includes the Islands that Make up Belka, and Seperate, Which Includes currently the Clutzin Peninsula and Rastovakia area.

Belkas Territory lies mostly in Sub-Polar and even Polar, however, the Tall Pan-Dalscwi Mountains in the south are good at deflecting the Cold Winds, allowing for a temperate zone.The Islands in the Norlay Sea are also southern, and allow for more tolerable Climate .The Clutzin Peninsula is also Somewhat Temperate, But is also somewhat dry.The Pan-Belkan Mountains are a massive range, but also shorter than the Dalscwi Mountains.Other Notable Features include Lake Nortenstag, and Lake Alswer along with several River systems.

The Maritime Norlay area includes the Islands in the Norlay sea, which are controlled by Belka. The Islands are known for Warm, Brief summers and cold, wet winters. They are warmer than the Northern Belkan area and thus can support VERY hardy Agricultural Crops capable of growing in northern areas on the Southernmost island. Despite their warmth, they are too small to support a Huge population.

Clutzin is a Famous area of Belka known for its Climate, which is comparable to the Southern Norlay Maritimes. It is flat along the Western Clutzin Peninsula, which is small and far more developed. However, outside of the Peninsula you find Rolling hills covered by Cold Forest. The Northern area of the Controlled Territory that Clutzin is apart of is colder on Average than Ocketburst, the Largest city on the Peninsula.

South of that is the Newest addition to the Belkan Nation, Donskyeska, Which is the Southernmost area in Belka.The Small Strip of land is located along the Southernmost coast of the Norlay and is known for much warmer Climates, Due to its Southern Location Warm air moving from southern air currents can reach here, bringing much warmer summers. The Southern location allows for more Agriculture to grow here, Although it is still limited. The Landscape is mostly flat with some Hills.
