Oooh, a good ol' crab bake sounds nice today

I'll have some hot tea, please!

*Dons a welding helmet and with a pair of rusted tongs retrieves a burning metal “T”, still incandescent from heat, out of the ash-laden furnace the Bar likes to call an oven. As it is set before the molding bread, the metal sizzles as it starts melting through the table.*

I hope it’s to your liking. Please keep in mind though that since I don’t have an employment contract, the Bar is not responsible for any hazards related to this order. I am not liable either because I am quite bankrupt and readily lose any assets I obtain. Now, what was this about a balanced budget?

And the shadows bring the customer a tea that's just right.

Enjoy!

Did not expect to get third in last's poetry contest.

Not participating in this one, unless I decide to change my mind.

Perspectives

As night descends, stomata close,
To conserve energy.
As the sun no longer supplies,
The photons needed,
For gas exchange,
And the carbon cycle.
How fascinating is it,
That even plants sleep?
I wonder what they might dream of,
With perspectives so removed from mine.
Perhaps they just wait,
For the sun.
