*yawns*
Hibernation is over. Spring is finally on its way.
You ready to break some eggs?
I'm still here! A tad late, but I wish you all a great 2020 ahead! ^^
Glad to be around, even if I have been lurking!
It still may be a tad early for me to have breakfast, but feel free to go ahead; I will happily sit here with my hot tea and chat with you.
Lurking simply means you are comfortable in your surroundings here. It's not like you were the one who raided the fridge and stole ALL the frozen twinkies! (I am still looking for that fiend.)
2 fahrenheit this morning. Temps should rise throughout the day to reach Freezing. Should be a fun day.
sets out coffee, tea, and pastries
Thank you, Saint Mark. TBBH kitchen staff are on holiday until the Spring season begins.
I believe I may head down to the beach and collect some chillrays to assuage my uminosity deficit.
3 days 20 hours ago: The Bodhisattva of Zaolat II arrived from Balder.
I hope you brought new magazines for the lobby.
Sorry, I ate them.
That's taking veganism a bit too far. *offers a tray of cold-boiled shrimp*

Self-isolation is not as fun as I imagined it would be -- especially when the weather is dreary and cold. I realize I need to initiate some semblance of a routine to keep myself motivated and alert.
Anyone else dealing with the same? Got any ideas?
I have enjoyed the past two weeks of live streaming kirk services. Last week I viewed Archbishop Foley Beach (ACNA) in Atlanta, GA. Today I viewed a service in FL. Sadly, the Anglican services in my local area are not streamed.
Isolation is not a problem for me.
Since last year, my ability to walk has diminished to the point of needing a walker just to travel a few feet.
June of last year I took a tumble which ultimately had me lying on the floor for several hours before a medical team whisked me away to an ER. When at the first hospital, they took some preliminary CAT scans and immediately sent me to the Medical center (I live in Houston. There I went through a solid hour of MRI's , after which I was informed that whether or not I had given permission that emergency spinal surgery was needed to be done. I muttered "OK' when a mask was placed over my face and the next thing I know, I was laying in an ICU with a tube down my throat.
I had surgery on the c3-c6 vertebrae in my neck and now have a nice scar down the back of my head and into my back from it. I am still 'rehabilitating' and can only manage a few feet a day, which makes going to the bathroom a lesson in determination, lol.
For the most part, I am bed-ridden and only leave the house for medical reasons or to get groceries. The right side of my body has the least control(nerve damage) and am constantly numb both sides(like when your hand/foot goes to sleep), tingling (like when hand/foot starts to 'wake up').
Even at that, I only missed 3 days of logging into the game and 'played' even in ICU.
I will stop playing when they pry the keyboard/mouse from my cold, dead hands ....

PS.
This is the first I've admitted this(in the game), I would appreciate that this be kept here, you understand.
:)
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I love this game and its inhabitants!
The grandest empire and The Spirit of Saint Mark
We love you, Yy.

You still one of my favorite people in this game, sire.
*hugs*
School begins on Monday, Aug 24. I think this will be my last year of doing this. And this is going to be a weird year dealing with all the Wuhan-Covid guidelines in the building. Heck of a way to finish a career.
Almost human, Retired Delegarth Elegarth, and The Spirit of Saint Mark
Three confirmed cases of Wuhan-Covid in my building but I (for now) remain untouched. Praying it stays that way. All three were away for a bit over two weeks and have now returned.
How goes it where you are?
Wife and I predicted we'd contract it within two months of the high school reopening. We wish we had been wrong, but thankfully it was a mild case and we're on the road to recovery.
Dark vapor, -tao-, and Natuurkunde
Living in Singapore here, doing relatively fine, so... I hope I am not rubbing that in people's faces. We have more or less controlled the number of community cases.
Glad to hear that it's mild. Have a speedy recovery! ^^

My daughter has been tested for Covid -- we should know the result by the weekend. If the result is positive, my wife and I both will have to take a leave from work. Mrs TAO works with an eldarly (67-98yr old population) and I work in a school with high school aged kids. The wait is the bothersome part.
I wish you all the best! I hope everything goes well, and the test returns negative.
