Yea they were. Honestly I wish the Czech republic would bg o back too one of those historical names like Bohemia or Moravia but apparently those names are only used for part of the country, so they decided to call themselves "Czechia" which has no historical bases at all and sounds extremely similar to Chechnya. Its definitely not what I would have picked, but whatever i geuss.
