The Grand Duchy of Vivanco is a titanic, efficient nation, ruled by Petrio Raimundo III with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, complete lack of prisons, and state-planned economy. The compassionate, democratic, cheerful population of 18.105 billion Vivanquians enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The frighteningly efficient Vivanquian economy, worth a remarkable 3,001 trillion Repuroes a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism and Book Publishing. Average income is an impressive 165,760 Repuroes, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Concussed boarball players cannot remember their lineup position, the government is washing its hands of alleged corruption, schoolchildren on field trips are asked what torture means to them, and search-and-rescue organisations are the biggest employer in the country. Vivanco's national animal is the boar, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Cult of the Lady.
