The Association of Trade Federation is a titanic, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its burgeoning consumer population. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 20.687 billion Trade Federates enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.5%.

The thriving Trade Federate economy, worth a remarkable 1,519 trillion Credit Standards a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Trout Farming, Pizza Delivery, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 73,470 Credit Standards, with the richest citizens earning 9.8 times as much as the poorest.

Voting is voluntary and punitive tariffs protect local industry. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Trade Federation's national animal is the consumer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Trade Federation is ranked 21,127^th in the world and 1^st in Trade Federation for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 68,695.16 Standard Monetary Units.
