The Federal Republic of Silessia is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Silessian Military Authority with an iron fist, and notable for its rum-swilling pirates, keen interest in outer space, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.117 billion Silessians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ostmere. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 29.7%.

The powerhouse Silessian economy, worth 360 trillion Silessian Graams a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Woodchip Exports. Black market activity is frequent. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 87,651 Silessian Graams, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 269,812 per year while the poor average 21,997, a ratio of 12.3 to 1.

There is no such thing as an innocent fling in the Silessian military, medical experts advise that those claiming to be medical experts are probably fraudsters, wheelchair-enabled paratroopers need access ramps to get onto planes but not off them, and Animal Liberationists are regularly arrested. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Silessia's national animal is the Fox, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Silessia is ranked 202,352nd in the world and 6th in Femboy Puppet Storage for Highest Drug Use, scoring 96.35 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
