The Colony of NB33 is a titanic, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service and irreverence towards religion. The democratic population of 17.848 billion NB33ians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 13.2%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient NB33ian economy, worth 742 trillion Citas a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Pizza Delivery, Trout Farming, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 41,617 Citas, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. NB33's national animal is the Vippertooth Dragon.

NB33 is ranked 77,602^nd in the world and 1^st in North Bavaria for Nicest Citizens, with 15.51 average smiles per day.
