The Republic of NAS58 is a colossal, orderly nation, renowned for its frequent executions, otherworldly petting zoo, and keen interest in outer space. The cynical population of 3.958 billion NAS58ians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."
