The Rogue Nation of MeatGrinder is a massive, efficient nation, remarkable for its deadly medical pandemics, compulsory military service, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.209 billion Meat Grinders are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The relatively small, corrupt, moralistic, pro-business, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order, Administration, and Industry are also considered important, while International Aid and Spirituality aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of La bande de la mort. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12.6%.

The powerhouse MeatGrinderian economy, worth 114 trillion banks a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 94,509 banks, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 539,018 per year while the poor average 8,040, a ratio of 67.0 to 1.

Prime commercial land is being swamped with archaeological teams, farmers are complaining that the buzzing and the sparks from the nearby MagRail are blighting their crops, history lessons resemble a who's-who and how's-how of crime, and teenagers are making eye contact with each other for the first time in years. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. MeatGrinder's national animal is the kiwi, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

MeatGrinder is ranked 249,525th in the world and 2nd in Card Destruction for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 157 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
