The Statistical Empire of K16 is a colossal, orderly nation, ruled by Mammalmind with an iron fist, and remarkable for its closed borders, frequent executions, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 3.579 billion Kisasans are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The tiny, corrupt, pro-business, well-organized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Industry, with Administration also on the agenda, while Environment and Welfare aren't funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fieldslands. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.2%.

The frighteningly efficient K16ian economy, worth 687 trillion kiolas a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Soda Sales industry, with major contributions from Gambling, Retail, and Uranium Mining. Black market activity is notable. Average income is an impressive 192,183 kiolas, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 1,639,933 per year while the poor average 3,952, a ratio of 415 to 1.

Recognised healthcare professionals treat diabetes with a grain of sugar in a barrel of water, the nation's soldiers sleep four to a bed in order to use space economically, legions of police officers force people to move into massive urban apartments, and artists attempt to convince the Hardship Fund that their unmade bed is a masterpiece. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. K16's national animal is the mammal, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Catholic-Mammalism.

K16 is ranked 125,718th in the world and 27th in Trica for Largest Manufacturing Sector, scoring 9,668.68 on the Gooback-Jerbs Productivity Index.
