The Kingdom of Grobe is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Elijah Ira Roland with an even hand, and remarkable for its barren, inhospitable landscape, compulsory military service, and stringent health and safety legislation. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 1.652 billion Grobians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government prioritizes Defense, with Education, Administration, and Spirituality also on the agenda, while Welfare isn't funded at all. The average income tax rate is 27.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Grobian economy, worth 136 trillion dollars a year, is broadly diversified and dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Information Technology, Retail, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 82,791 dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.0 times as much as the poorest.

Politicians live in luxury, neon signs promoting safe driving often distract drivers, typing Elijah Ira Roland's name into a search engine always gives zero matches, and both diets and economic output are growing leaner with recent restrictions to free trade. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Grobe's national animal is the dove, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution.

Grobe is ranked 196,874^th in the world and 7^th in Nova Iris for Most Eco-Friendly Governments, scoring 308.24 on the Dolphin Recycling Awareness Index.
