The Queen's State of Eagle Base is a gargantuan, efficient nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 29.55 billion Eagle Baseans hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The tiny, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Law & Order, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 7.6%.

The thriving Eagle Basean economy, worth a remarkable 1,325 trillion betales a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Pizza Delivery industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Book Publishing, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 44,871 betales, with the richest citizens earning 7.5 times as much as the poorest.

Surveillance cameras are banned, voting is voluntary, all tariffs have been abolished, and the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Eagle Base's national animal is the deer, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Eagle Base is ranked 282,688^th in the world and 1^st in Aerie for Most Extensive Public Healthcare, scoring 568.73 on the Theresa-Nightingale Rating.
