The Kingdom of Brototh01 is a mammoth, orderly nation, ruled by Cinema with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, infamous sell-swords, and keen interest in outer space. The compassionate, cynical population of 6.89 billion Brotothians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wigan. The average income tax rate is 49.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Brotothian economy, worth 262 trillion lashans a year, is quite specialized and led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Basket Weaving. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 38,073 lashans, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Childhood friends of Cinema are living it large abroad at the taxpayers' expense, citizens can freely debate whether Cinema is a great leader or the greatest leader, corporate lawyers are switching careers to the more lucrative field of green politics, and creating dance remixes is the newest form of conspicuous consumption. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Brototh01's national animal is the phoenix, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is the Cult of Godsinia.
