The Kingdom of Bhaskarius is a large, orderly nation, renowned for its public floggings, compulsory military service, and devotion to social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 161 million Bhaskariusians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 81.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Bhaskariusian economy, worth 10.1 trillion Suryas a year, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Book Publishing, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 62,864 Suryas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Community organizers have given up going door to door because nobody is home, the police have been known to wiretap confessional boxes, it is illegal to carry an umbrella when the official weather forecast predicts a sunny day, and Leader can't hear a thing when the unwashed masses throw rocks at the new state limousine. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bhaskarius's national animal is the Bhaskar Lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Bhaskarius is ranked 175,299th in the world and 110th in KAISERREICH for Largest Manufacturing Sector, scoring 7,008.15 on the Gooback-Jerbs Productivity Index.
