The Republic of Autolycus is a mammoth, pleasant nation, notable for its burgeoning swan population. The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 14.7%.

The Autolycusian economy, worth 277 trillion pounds a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Uranium Mining, Pizza Delivery, and Basket Weaving. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Autolycus's national animal is the swan, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.
