Most ignore this display -- over-the-top advertisements, heated protests or rallies, and open carry are all too common in the Stevist capital -- but the powerbrokers in the capital are paying attention. They've been the ones to manufacture this situation; when the Kathamori invaded, they've indebted themselves further into the hands of powerful arms manufacturing companies, but also unleashed the Stevist guerillas upon the steppe, well-armed, well-accustomed to violence, and now, extremely experienced in insurgency warfare. While 'patriotic,' a true Stevist fought for two reasons: to become wealthy, and to fight against government control. As long as Kathamori boots continued to trample on Stevia, the world's most capable guerillas were happy to fight mostly for the latter. Only, the world's most capable guerillas wouldn't allow an invasion to go on for long.
What to do now for S'namgib Ytic? Thousands of guerillas weren't going to become wealthy; this was Stevia in reality, with no government support for any sort of welfare system and slim prospects for a rags to riches story, and not the Stevist dream the warriors had fought to defend. If they could not lift themselves up by their stirrups, they would fall under heavy medical debt, and become unemployed on top of it, left to rot in the steppe. It was better war than Stevism, but this was precisely the fear -- once the Stevist veteran freedom fighters, the danger of the steppe, realized they were out of wealth, which government remained for them to exercise their profession? Who would they lift themselves up against? Stevist 'investments' going into West Lebatuck were not popular amongst everyone, and while the new CORPS corporate headquarters brought wealth and expertise into the company, they'd be awfully easy to bomb until the herdspeople learned how asset protections worked in Stevia ...
This question loomed over the Great Nuthak's council, and the answer was as Stevist as it was convenient: find another government to overthrow. Never mind that the situation would repeat itself in the next campaign; there is no obligation to the future, and anyway, war should be perpetual. Besides, everyone in the council knew what Stevism would do to the disgruntled veterans. No, better war than Stevism. Better anything than Stevism.
The Stevists always pay their debts, and right now, one power had been present too long in Stevist waters and absent too much in Stevia's new foreign trade figures: the nation of Elyreia, run by the oppressive House Torhed, fighting a Kathamoti sort of war against the Stevist 'Reiwan' who wanted nothing more than freedom from over-reaching government. And if the Stevists do not pay now, the veterans it owes prosperity to will quickly demand interest.
And thus, with the tacit approval and funds of S'namgib Ytic, a new company dubbed the "Stevist Veterans for Freedom Everywhere" (acronomyed 'SteVets') quickly started to hire hundreds, then thousands, of Stevists, primarily from the rural partisan population. A first batch of about 2,500 Stevists, armed in a variety of smaller arms, would start smuggling themselves into the island nation, through the means of submarines, smuggling rings, Reiwan-controlled territory, airlifts, and bribes, with the goal of teaching the Reiwan the ways of freedom, capitalism, and Stevia's specialty guerilla warfare in the mountains. Several would probably be caught and captured or killed just getting to Elyreia; all the better for S'namgib Ytic. Many would die in action, as their predecessors did in the Kathamori invasion; all the better for the Great Nuthak. All would have complex reasons for choosing to fight in another war, having been scarred by the history of the past one -- this, the power brokers in Stevia did not care much for. What mattered was that the Elyreians, and Reiwan, were somewhat wealthy, but ignorant of the finer arts of business, having been bound by the crippling leash of feudalism. Perhaps the Stevists could even secure some assets, if all goes well! Freedom must never end, even in Torhed pass! FOR STEVE!
Two thousand five hundred Stevists, ready to radicalize the Reiwan into becoming capable combat veterans with a chip on their shoulder -- this was the perpetual war, and this was better than returning to Stevism.

The World Assembly, often abbreviated as "WA", is the NationStates equivalent of the real-world United Nations.
Vote on game-wide legislation: World Assembly member nations are able to vote on resolutions that reach the floor of the General Assembly and Security Council, thus allowing you to participate in determining game-wide legislation.
Endorse other nations: WA nations may endorse (similar to social media "likes") other nations in the same region as them.
Write WA resolutions: WA nations with 2 (two) or more endorsements may submit WA resolutions of their own for the entire game to vote on.
Bolster the strength of your region: The more endorsements our delegate, East Durthang, has, the larger the weighted delegate vote in the World Assembly is, granting us more influence over international WA affairs. Furthermore, the more endorsements our leadership holds, the more difficult it is for hostile forces to seek to invade or disrupt the stability of our home.
Become a Pacifican Vanguard: Nations who endorse our delegate receive the title Pacifican Vanguard, are featured on this list, and are eligible for exclusive rewards, such as custom nation banners.

How do I join the World Assembly?

As a part of the Pacific, you and every other Pacifican have the right to apply for NPO citizenship, and gain access to greater participation within the diverse activities and community of the region.
Benefits of Becoming a Citizen
This will present the opportunity to choose one or more specializations in the region's government and gain access to more engaging aspects of the region and what it has to offer.

Discord is a communication app available in browser, PC app or mobile format that allows its users to form large organized communities. These communities are called servers, in most cases, and each one has its own specific organization and set of rules and moderators.
