Japan is wilding bro wthhhhhhhh

Talitoa wrote:That's me with the Fallout franchise. People so love the America in the game, but it has turned into a complete dictatorship that suppresses revolt and is undergoing a resource crisis on all fronts it could've fixed. Then others simp for the Enclave, but they're made up of the descendants that made America into what it was before the bombs dropped, and seem to forget about their plans to kill everyone with a slight mutation because of the bombs. Some others choose Caesar from Caesar's Legion, a man that couldn't figure out philosophy even if he was dragged out of Hegel's Cave screaming and kicking. The whole Legion is made so "past mistakes aren't made and to get past the apocalypse", though next door is the NCR that is around the 1800's mostly, taking too many lessons from the worst parts of Rome.

I'm not a fan and I don't know much about it, but the Enclave thing seems pretty cut and dry. "The ends justify the means." I'm sure in people's minds all that will be just another regretable aspect of US reunification at the end of Fallout. But hey, the US is restored, and its citizens are again normal people like us in real life. That's just how it comes across to me.

Its the reason why we know very little about the guy who wrote (and is still writing) chainsaw man, many beloved fan favourite characters end up dying and so death threats are a very common thing for that dude

Never seen it, but the main characters are nice.

It was a big thing in Serbia, marked our childhoods fr.

I remember Nickelodeon had this weird mashup of Totally Spies and like . . . Magic School Bus?

At one point, the two main characters were fighting their evil alter egos inside a giant terrarium, all throwing each other into a pitcher plant and stuff.

I did not make this up, I swear. I genuinely remember watching this as a kid.

I mean, it was a big thing here in the US too. I just never got into it.

Here's the not so fun part, most people who get out into the world from the vaults or secured areas get mutated a tiny bit, so the Enclave would be killing millions of people just for a tiny mutation (only a few thousand enclave members). The Enclave itself remember is based n the authoritarian government that made America before the bombs so bad. The president himself has ruled for five consecutive terms and is pretty much a dictator.

Yeah, I get that. I just don't think a lot of Enclave fans care. They're caught up in the natural reaction of, "My country gone. Want it back by any means." And don't have any regard for anything else.

Who in their right mind would want an authoritarian America back "by any means"?

Oh, you were talking about what some Enclave defenders say. I wonder how long they would get their faces eaten by the leopard that is the Enclave if they somehow found themselves among the ranks.

Argostrobea wrote:Who in their right mind would want an authoritarian America back "by any means"?

I mean, in real life, there are plenty of examples of this. People cherish their countries and hate the idea/reality of them being gone. Enclave fanfare is just a smaller, relatively harmless example of the same phenomenon.

. . . after searching through several "kids' cartoons of the 2000s" lists, to no avail, I eventually stumbled across a picture of the most memorable villain (from the pitcher plant episode).

Turns out "Totally Spies meets the Magic School Bus" is just how I describe Kim Possible.

I personally couldn't get into the humor. Gave me way too much 14 year old edgelord humor vibes.

... Which makes it even odder that it didn't resonate now that I've typed that out.

True. It's cringe on meth.
