I just have a love of deciphering tough math equations.

It’s at first a struggle. You have to remember all of your rules. You have to make sure that you applied them right. You can’t misscribe anything. If you don’t have a calculator you have to make sure you didn’t mess up basic arithmetic; if you have one you have to type everything in correctly.

But once you start unweaving the equation, understanding it and getting closer to the solution, it’s just a beauty. That euphoria of having everything slide into place, that mastery of finally understanding the premise and how to solve it. There are few places on this earth where you can find such a thing.

Even more the better if you combine multiple forms of math you know well. Having all that knowledge that you labored and triumphed for all sliding together into a grand clockwork, an engine of intellectual mastery. It’s just… you have to know the feeling yourself.
