It's crazy how far science has gotten us in so little time.
In 1996, the flip phone was invented, in 2007, it was made digital, and now, they're more powerful than you realise. Just think about it, you can wirelessly talk to someone on the other side of the planet in under a second. Sure, there are some issues, sometimes it could take up to a minute, but it would take 3-5 years to get that message otherwise.
In 1804, the Earth reached 1 billion population, now, in 2024, we're at 8 billion! That is 7 billion people in just 220 years!
In the '60s and '70s, we could only dream of what exists today. Scientists teleported an apple, a tardigrade entered a quantum state, and we built a lightsaber! We're currently somewhere between a type 0.7-0.8 civilisation, and in around 200 years, we're expected to reach type 1, give another 3,000 years, and we'll reach type 2, another 2,000, type 3, and on and on.

Here's what I do: Depending on how polite they were and how I'm feeling, I'll telegram something between "I don't do WA" and "I don't care"(And if I'm lazy enough, nothing) and then, depending on how polite they were and how I'm feeling, I'll either do nothing or vote against.
Luckily I don’t do the WA so I don’t ever get that stuff, still for some reason got the telegram even though it’s a :wa Tele but meh.
