After a month (rp time?) of preparation, Vantier is finally ready to fight. 400,000 men and women have been recruited and trained, and are now ready to be sent overseas. Equiped with brand-new military, this army will hopefully lead us to victory.
The 6th mechanized infantry, 2nd armored and the 5th, 3rd and 4th infantry divisions will be progressively sent to Greater Rutan, where they will help Justinian win the ongoing civil war in the country. But their number one objective is to keep the African continent completely safe. If Justinian loses the civil war, then Vantier will be forced to protect all of Africa all by themselves, including the lands north of the Sahara desert. And if Greater Rutan is secured as a potential ally, it is in a wonderful strategic location that may be very helpful in the future.
Meanwhile, Vantier has become a brutal dictatorship in record time. Alex Duvalier has banned all parties, except zir own. Only the Liberal party remains legal. All mobile phones have been "infected" with a software that monitors everything you do and say online. If you write a word or sentence that the program considers suspicious, such as "I hate Alex Duvalier", it will send a warning to the VIA. Then, the VIA will order some of its informants to spy on you 24/7, and gather evidence to prove you are a traitor. If the program detects that you wrote suspicious words or sentences 2 more times or if the informants have enough evidence, you will be considered a traitor immediately, and your execution will take place in less than 4 hours. A brutal and efficient way to oppress your population.

This is a reminder that the election process for the next LDU Government has started. Anyone who is a citizen of the Liberal Democratic Union may be nominated as a candidate.
If you’re planning to run, please vote in the new poll so we know which position you are interested in. This can later be changed if you're not completely sure if the role is fitting for you. You may then drop out or nominate yourself for another position.
To attain citizenship, a nation must join, or be a member of, the World Assembly (WA) and endorse the region's WA Delegate (the President of the Liberal Democratic Union). If a nation cannot join the World Assembly, then his or her citizenship may be approved by registering with the Home Secretary.
The MINIMUM requirements for Member Nation status are as follows:
a. Hold citizenship in the Liberal Democratic Union
b. Post at least once on the Regional Message Board
c. Reside in the region for at least 8 days

The President
The President represents the Liberal Democratic Union in the World Assembly, serving as the WA Delegate, and presides over the Administration.
The President will be elected by the Congress of the Liberal Democratic Union by a poll on the Regional Message Board every three calendar months and may serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms. Eligibility for candidacy for President requires Member State status of at least one calendar month and membership of the World Assembly.

The Vice President
The Vice President will assist the President in every matter. In the absence of the President, the Vice President will act as the Executive.
During the initial election for President, the Vice President will be nominated by the Presidential Candidate, and will be elected as his or her running mate by the Congress of the Liberal Democratic Union through a poll on the Regional Message Board.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of Congress.

The Speaker
The Speaker is the Leader of Congress, and not a Member of the Administration. The Speaker is responsible for receiving proposed bills from members of Congress, scrutinising them and providing a technical and legal opinion, submitting them to the floor of Congress for debate, setting up and administering votes, and maintaining the library of Congress. Additionally, elections to the offices of President and Members of the Administration will be administered by the Speaker.
The Speaker will be elected by the Congress of the Liberal Democratic Union by a poll on the Regional Message Board every four calendar months and may serve for a maximum of two consecutive terms.
*All Government Officers (excluding Director of Role-Play) must hold and maintain World Assembly (WA) membership.

you will need WA membership to run for anything since director of RP isn't a elected position. Also if you already have one you will need to run using that account or transfer WA membership since having 2 member nations is in violation of site rules.

Vantier the NPA has made rapid gains into Libya. The NADC coalition has been severely overran. The weakness has resulted in severe internal divides over government ideology and Tunisia breaking away from the coalition. The NADC has resorted to freeing prisoners and arming them with looted weapons. Within 2 weeks the government is predicted to fall.
